Fantastic venue for the CAN/AM tournament. Helped that our team won.nVery good ice, great criteria / bar area and seating where you can watch the games.
I was super impressed with this facility! 4 rinks. Well laid out. Restaurant and bar you can watch games from. Central change rooms. All cities should look at this as a good model.
The place isn’t the cleanest — the locker rooms smell terrible.nA lot of the staff can be quite rude, especially toward children.nThe food is overpriced for what is essentially fast food.nIf I wasn’t a West Island hockey mom, I don’t think I’d come here at all, especially considering the high and rising prices.
Beautiful arena with 4 rinks.nPlenty of parking.nPro shop.nRinks and rooms on the 1st floor and stand are on the 2nd floor.nRestaurant, bar, meeting rooms.nRinks are glassed in, so you can watch from the atrium area in the warmth.nIf you do go into the stands, since you are on the 2nd floor, the vantage is great.
I play hockey at this arena sometimes, and we always go upstairs for drinks and food after a game. While I like the arena, honestly I can't say the same for the food. Lately the food there has consistently been questionable form my experiences. From the misshapen, undercooked pizza to the overcooked smash burgers with the driest, cardboard tasting buns I don't know if the buns are old or stale but it's been a consistent disappointment. I recently once even found what looked like a pubic hair in my cesar salad.nnSome of the people who work in the kitchen always look lost and seem like they have no idea what they're doing. They care more about what's on their phones than making the food properly, and i really don't think touching your phone and then handling the food is exactly sanitary.nnI'd avoid eating there if you can... and if you have to I'd inspect your food carefully.
