Got my skates sharpened at Sportchek Bayshore then went on the ice for my game and I thought someone taped one of my blades as a prank so I sat down to check my blades...Nope, just the worst sharping job I’ve ever experienced/seen in my life. Had to get off the ice and pay AGAIN to sharpen my skates and they were a little better but still wasn’t good enough to play a game on. So if you want to get the worst skate sharpening ever, sportchek is the spot for you.

Brutal customer service. Giant red signs say 25% off all winter stuff, salesperson confirms the 25% off applies to some Columbia long underwear. Spend 20 minutes trying it on, comparing products. Go to cash and oh - cashier says these products are full price, no sale... but what about the sign and the salesperson? They tell us tough luck.. Go home and check Columbia's website only to find the exact same product for 25% off. Why does sportchek even exist? Better off buying directly from the manufacturer or off amazon. Done with this retail store.

Decent prices if you watch for sales, some of the staff are knowledgeable and prices are expensive on certain items.

They have everything, everything, just not men's figure skates :) they even have someone who makes badminton bats on the spot
