Worst hospital on the face of the planet. Arrived with my gf who had a severe ear infection, they made us wait for 3 hours and then refused to provide care because they assumed 2 tourists from NY were exhibiting drug seeking behavior. They wouldn't even provide aspirin. Gf ended up with long term ear problems, numerous surgeries. If you can avoid this hospital, do so.
I've been in a few hospitals, and I never felt as cared about as well as for. It was like my family was watching over me. Dr. Dickson was wonderful. And the staff felt like family. They saved my life!

I walked out of this hospital with a collarbone dislocated and a serious throat injury with no treatment. Just go to Port Angeles or Aberdeen, I'm in so much pain right now I'm loopy, and I hope I get proper treatment in PA before I die. The workers are nice tho... but I'm in so much pain that I don't think that matters, I can't even think straight right now and I just want it to stop being in pain, I want a Doctor, I want something or someone to help so much right now. I'm wish I had better things to say, but I don't. I just want relieve, everything hurts I am in so much pain, typing this hurts, I need to stop typing this. Please just go to Port Angeles, I should have bit the bullet and went to Port Angeles.
Came here after my mother suffered a concussion while we were camping. Called ahead and let them know we were coming in, even though it was very late in the evening. The admittance staff was quick and courteous, the nurse and doctor were both professional in demeanor, ready to help out and get a proper diagnosis and treatment. The radiologist, even being called in after hours, was courteous and happy to help. Thanks!
I have worked in health care for 20 years I have never seen such a lack of compassion. My brother in law had been fighting brain cancer it got worse very fast. He was getting some help from hospice the next day. That night he was in horrible pn and fell 6 times. He went to ED by ambulance. The ER doctor refused to admit him. He said the hospital is not a place for people that cant get better. He and staff then continued to harass her telling her she had to take him home. They did not care that he couldnt stand or even sit. They had no suggestions how she was supposed to get him up 10 steps. I was called drove 2 hrs through the snow the Dr yelled at me saying again that hospital was not for people that dont get better. I drug him out to my pickup carried him through snow to his house. That is the worst facility I have ever been around and I work in EMS and have been around many.
I worked as a Nurse here for 8 years. Small town feel with amazing staff to work with. I also have been a patient with my first pregnancy and had exceptional care.
Went there with a freshly broken ankle and there was no emergency treatment - never received an iv of fluids or pain meds, took about two hours before getting an oxy. Was told they don’t have an ortho doc so I needed to go back to Seattle which Is understandable - was released without asking what next Plans were, went back to motel of two flights of stairs and nearly collapsed. Hope to never find myself back at that hospital!
I just went in to the ER to be treated for alcohol withdrawals. The addmitting person laughed and said, "oh, that's across the street." I asked her if they saw people for this and she told me "well I can admit you if you want but..." BUT WHAT? That was a very callous way to behave. It took a lot to go in there only to be disregarded like that. It would seem that they would be more sensitive to a person actively seeking help. I'll never go back if I don't have to.
Forks Community Hospital is a wonderful hospital! The nurses, doctors and management have been so kind to me as a nurse practitioner student. I’m learning so much and I’m grateful for the experience. Thank you FCH!
