Nice state park to spend a day at. Campground is nice and there are sites right along split rock lake. Trails aren't very long but are well kept and fun. Fish house, boat rental and a few fishing piers. Lots of wildlife here as well such as otter, turtle, deer and rabbit.
It's a small, well kept park. The hiking club trail was well mowed and in good shape. Coming from Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin, it's more like a county park.
Nice little state park. Great place for a picnic. Nice facilities!
A peaceful State Park with nice beach area and flat trail to hike. A nice dam with the history behind it as well.
Small but beautiful little park. The hiking club trail is pretty much the only trail in the park. It is a mostly flat - one hill - well maintained trail. Nice balance of shady, sunny and lake views. Very nice picnic & beach area. And lots of benches for relaxing & taking in the sights and sounds. The birds where very busy!
We LOVED this campground!!!!! So much to see and do! Kayaking was great fun and in multiple different areas, the park attendants were incredibly incredible! #campingspots#loveoutdoors#lovethisplace
Yeah it was great no shade though at the moment. May 1 was very hot! Some Pipestone and lots of owl pellets.
Great place for camping, fishing, hiking. Kids loved it.
Quaint: has trails, and lake for kayaking. Staff are wonderful. Great place to camp, campground hosts are the best!
First day and already had awful interactions. Old man got real snappy with us when I had my dog in the water and on the beach. The other people camping were also very rude.
