Came here for a birthday party yesterday , the service was exceptional and the owners are so kind and welcoming! The food was super delicious, we honestly enjoyed everything! but the cherry on top was the specially made hummus and kunafa for our friends event, you can definitely tell that the owner’s number one goal is to make sure their customers are satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to host an event or just to dine in a heartbeat
Came here for a party and everything was exceptional! The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the stone wood oven. The smell of the wood and the pizzas baking welcome you. The servers are very intensive and the food came out very quickly. Everyone got their drinks in less than 10 minutes. The margarita pizzas cooked in that stone wood oven and antipasto we ordered it was phenomenal. The check-in entree was tender and juicy, very hard to find a place that doesn't dry out chicken it was cooked to perfection and while our evening lasted several hours the servers were completely on point kept everyone happy with drinks water and after dinner coffee's. Really all of the ingredients I feel for a high-end restaurant experience. The atmosphere, the food and the service were all incredible!
What an amazing experience. Service was top notch and the food was delicious!! We were there for a baptism and the staff went above and beyond. From the servers to the owner and the kitchen staff. Can't wait to go back!
Booked our son's baptism at Spizzico and couldn’t have been happier with the decision. The staff, set-up and food were all exceptional. Sam and staff were so accommodating to what we requested. Our families continuously mentioned how good all the food was. Highly recommend for events or a lunch/dinner out. Thanks again to the whole staff.
Friendly service and tasty dishes Food came reasonably fast and the kids enjoyed the dinner
Spizzico is a wonderful Italian spot in the heart of Vaughan! It’s a place we enjoy frequenting because not only is the food delicious but Sam the owner and his beautiful daughter Sarah always make us feel comfortable and at home. They go above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable dining experience. The interior is beautifully decorated and feels very modern and luxurious. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for great food and even better service! Our recommendation for a girls night out or even just a dinner for two! -Maria & Brit
Came in with a large group. Service was slow and appeared a bit unorganized. We had to ask for drinks several times before it came. Was a bit disappointed with our meals-some members of the party thought food was not as appetizing as expected but overall food was decent. Live music was great. Atmosphere was noisy so hard to have a conversation and hear the live music.
Veal chop - excellent. Grilled Chicken - excellent. Gnocchi - good. Mushroom risotto - undercooked and hard, flavourful cooked in beef broth might not be your thing. Lots of servers, good vibe.
Very unimpressive experience. To call this mediocre restaurant “Italian” is an insult to all of Vaughan and Woodbridge. The food was cold, the lobster in the fettuccini was rotten and tasted awful. When we brought it to the attention of the staff, they sent the owner over who handled the situation extremely unprofessionally. He had a pointed attitude from the beginning, almost taking it personally that the product they used to prepare the meal was spoiled. He mishandled the situation and treated us extremely unprofessionally. We were there celebrating a birthday and he completely ruined the mood after literally arguing with the person whose birthday it was. He said he would take off both of the lobster pastas but after when we got the bill he said he changed his mind because one was mostly eaten, which was untrue, we couldn’t finish our meal after tasting the spoiled seafood. He brought up multiple irrelevant things such as “never” having a food complaint before, which is untrue as I’ve read the reviews, and further invalidated our concern and did nothing to help the situation. ALL the food was cold by the time it came out, including the steaks and sides. We asked for bread on the side for dipping, one server told us they didn’t have any bread, and meanwhile another server brought us a bowl of bread nearly 30 minutes later albeit. We were never served any water or anything when we arrived, they rather spent about 25 minutes discussing a corking fee instead of serving their large party. The beverages are poor quality as they clearly do not have an experienced bartender. Ever since this place came under new ownership the quality has tanked, and after meeting the new owner first hand; I can see why. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant, the service is slow, the food is poor quality, and the ownership doesn’t know the meaning of customer service. Save your frustrations and go somewhere else nearby. I mean this in the most insulting way possible - Kelsey’s has higher, more consistent quality. - Despite receiving a response from the owner, he had falsified what happened in regards to sending the food back. When bringing up the food quality concern, the server sent the owner, who then severely mishandled the situation. The food was not offered to be replaced and then when he offered to take it off the bill, he then changed his mind. Despite what he says here, he did everything he could to ensure our food was not replaced or removed from the bill. It was an embarrassing situation for him, and the owner of this restaurant should be embarrassed and ashamed of the way he treats his customers. And obviously had enough downtime to respond to my review on a Saturday night
I have gone twice now and very impressed with food, service and the people who work there. A great place to dine with family and friends. I also wanted to mention how clean and well kept this place is.
