Always come here when I'm in town. Food is delicious, authentic, well priced and service is top notch. Everyone that works here is so lovely and treats us so well. Great place to take people for business as well. You won't find food like this in most places.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Ordered two dishes to go, both were disappointing! We requested the sautéed Chinese cabbage to be non-spicy but came home with tons of chili peppers on it. The sautéed pork with sweet bean sauce tasted like sautéed pork with soy sauce!! The pork you can actually tasted the starch in your mouth. We ordered the same dishes plus several other dishes two weeks ago, that dish should came with wood ear mushroom and bamboo shoots but today we only got only onions! We couldn’t even tasted any sweet paste sauce! Their quality has not been consistent lately and tonight is just a big bummer that we don’t think we will be back any time soon.
Had lunch. Beef and tofu. Extremely satisfied. Extra green onion. Real pepper. I do not mind msg, but might ask for allocation next visit. Point being: there WILL be a next visit. "Popcorn Chicken with Special Pepper Sauce," recommendation has my interest. Features: Masks on all front of house.
$18.99 gets you a handful of bony chicken wing pieces mixed with french fries why? "Dry pot chicken" without all the red pepper is barely an appetizer size. "Sichuan Hot Thin Sliced Pork Ear" was overly salted, impossible to eat. Such a rip-off for bad food, never again.
We always order food or dine in here. The food is spicy and really delicious. Loving the place.
Order fried rice, pig ear and Chongqing chicken for take out, overall pretty tasty, fried rice was a bit salty but my kids loved it. The Chongqing chicken had too little chicken compared to some of the other places I ordered from.. I had literally 75% just red peppers lol it was not satisfying for the price of the dish.
This restaurant has opened for some time but last weekend was the first time for me to visit. Their service was good and every server was attentive to our needs throughout our entire stay. They also have a reasonably small menu which is a good thing in my opinion. This helps limit the choices for customers and the kitchen staff to focus on making the dishes good. The dishes tasted good and I think they had a good grasp of Sichuan cuisine. The issues I had with them was that their dishes were on the expensive side. It isn’t that I think all Chinese restaurants should be on the cheap side but given the price they charge, there are better options out there than Spicy City. If their prices are slightly cheaper then I think I will visit more often.
Very expensive menu price, overly greasy food and below average service makes this place a must-avoid. Ordered boiled fish with pickle vegetables , the soup is overly salty and greasy, which makes it hardly digestible. The service is lacking, we have to ask for everything, from water to extra napkin. Expect to pay $80 for two entries for a typical lunch/dinner, tax/tips included. There are many other Chinese restaurants nearby, which offers authentic Hunan & Sichuan style food in much better flavor, with more reasonable price.
Best Szechuan food so far in great Seattle area!!! Friendly staff, quick service of food even though fully seated. The food was really good and has lot of choices! Definitely will come back and try other dishes! Glad to have one Chinese food restaurant like this!
The food was really good here--highly recommend the Mapo Tofu. They used a silky soft tofu with an excellent minced meat sauce. We came here after a waitress over at Tian Tian Noodles ignored our table twice and most definitely were not disappointed. We ordered the cold sliced chicken appetizer, and it came within 5 minutes of us sitting down. The food overall was pretty good, and it was a solid place for Chinese cuisine. Would go again.
