Absolutely in love. To have a proper bakery AND to have it just down the road. That makes and sells delicious wholesome baked goods. And great coffee, good old AllPress no less. A dream come true! The Gruyère and Olive loaf is my weekend treat. Can’t cut it fast enough! Order ahead, collect at the window. Huge slices of Focaccia Large scones Marble orange Chelsea bun… So much in such a small space! Much better without the “cafe” although benches, tables and chairs are still avail outside. Sure there may be a queue at the expected times, weekend mornings, some week mornings, but it moves quickly now that coffee comes from the window too. Sooo worth it.
A very charming, unpretentious bakery which has a distinct neighbourhood vibe and doesn't feel exclusionary. Great range of breads, cakes and pastries.
Great bakery! Their bread, pastries, buns, cakes and coffees are amazing and the staff are incredibly nice however the £3 minimum for card is a bit of a shame—it’s 2022, people don’t carry cash around anymore—owners may be inadvertently losing clientele… That said the prices are very affordable so 5 stars anyway : Thank you Spence Bakery!
OMG!! Deliciousness! I Love it! The best bakery that I’ve been in London. Sweets and Sours. Bread is amazing. Small place, so it’s difficult to seat inside and with a fee, but do grab and go.
Proper bread! The dark rye breads are moist and make great toast and the sourdoughs are very good if you are feeling that way inclined too. All in all will definitely rid you of the desire ever to buy bread from a supermarket again.
Popular Stoke Newington café - always a queue at lunchtime, but definitely worth the wait. Excellent cakes as well as bread and savoury items. Their egg mayonnaise rolls as well as the cheese and tomato rolls - so simple but also so amazing! The staff are friendly and helpful too.
Dog owners please avoid! This place has recently put a blanket ban on dogs entering. Apparently they are using poor behaviour of one dog to justify their hostility to all pets. There are several lovely small family businesses with excellent selections and imo better coffee just a few doors away that are dog friendly - please support these instead.
Amazing bakery. Everything is delicious and the coffee is great too. Highly recommended The apple crumble is to die for
Nice bakery, but doesn’t allow dogs in which is unusual for this type of shop and area. Recommend visiting one of the many other options on the street if you have a furry friend.
Nice bagel; Good tea also but watch out for literally the hottest water I’ve ever come across nearly melted my dash board
