Speedway Inn

I read the bad reviews but thought I would give it a chance. The old white bartender was rude. My husband asked her to turn on the TV in the back. She replied it broken. Do you expect me to climb up there to repair it. She was more interested in her laptop. Old Witch needs to retire. I'm surprised she isn't closed yet.

I once saw a former police dog get up on a barstool, his owner sit next to him, and the dog had the “usual” of a grey goose and water while the owner had a Miller Lite. It might be a dump, but I have never seen that before.

I walked in about 9 on a sat eavening, some lady on a computer and one guy at the bar watching tv on his phone. Waited for 5 min standing there, no bartender, no beer, they obviously don't care about customers. I walked back out.

Bartender was very rude, and acted like it was a chore to take an order from me and four friends.

This is a comfortable no-frills bar where you can be yourself and enjoy inexpensive drinks. If you want something strange, this is maybe not the place. If you want a beer or a whiskey sour with friendly service and a quiet atmosphere, this is the place. They have darts and pool. It is rarely busy and always entertaining.

Great place to be yourself and enjoy the people that you came out with and a great place to come alone and feel like you came with friends. An amazing jukebox selection and down to earth bartenders and patrons regardless of financial status. No harassment and you will feel comfortable when you walk through the door. 4 stars because it's a little worn in and that's what I like and what makes this place such an easy place to stay.

Decent little spot to kill the rest of the night I guess. At least they're smart enough to stay open until bar time unlike Bullwinkle's up the street. Don't know how a supposed "sports bar" can close at midnight so Speedway gets some of the leftovers from there. Their bartender is golden...at least until she kicks you out at 2am.

Witnessed the bartender blatantly racially profiling costumers and “closing” the bar for people whose skin color didn’t match their own. This bar is a “staple-turned-disgrace to the beautiful town.”

I feel like if this was the last bar on earth and I needed a drink, I’d still figure out how to ferment my own liquor.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The owner bartends and is probably the rudest human I've ever met. I didn't know it was a hassle to bring in a group of people ready and willing to spend money when the bar is dead on a Saturday night. Pull tab machine ate our money and so did the dart board. She didn't care about either issue. Needless to say we will never be going back here.
