I’m a Lyft Driver it’s 1:47 am in the morning drive 10 min here for something to eat. And guess what it’s closed. This is so frustrating! Google says it’s Open 24 hours! What a LIE!!
Worst customer service ever! Let me start by stating that I frequent speedway gas stations, almost exclusively when buying gas. That said, based on the experience I just had at your location at 6804 W. North Ave. in Wauwatosa, WI it’s questionable as to whether I will do so going forward. This particular location is tiny and highly trafficked. There are often long lines, and most times only 1 of the 2 registers are open even though there are enough workers to manage 2. Workers in the past haven’t been the friendliest, but at least they were knowledgeable and made attempts to be helpful. Today that was not the case. I stood in line for 10 minutes while 2 female workers chatted it up with a customer about cigarettes. Then went to pay for gas and realized I forgot to look at the pump #. I told the lady as such and I proceeded to point out of the window towards my vehicle and she curtly stated “ma’am you have to tell me the number of the pump”. I stated I forgot to look, I apologize, but there are multiple trucks in the way I can’t see from here of course it was the furthest pump away. She responded “I can’t ring you up without the pump #. I restated that I couldn’t see the number from here. She repeated herself again saying “then I can’t ring you up”. I asked is this a new policy? She just stared at me with an attitude and rolled her eyes. I then stated to her that this has never been an issue with the previous workers here, or elsewhere, as I’ve heard other customers point to the general vicinity of their car and the cashier was able to ring them up. Again she just stared at me. I walked out the door, walked to my vehicle, and left. I’m super disappointed in this experience and if this is the type of service you encourage at your establishments and/or allow, then I’m definitely going to reconsider where I spend my dollars. Gas is pretty much universal, quality customer service although it should be obviously is not.
The gas is usually lower than surrounding places. WHEN ITS OPEN. Pull up, closed or be back in 20 minutes sign up. Card reader not working, or they'll tell you cash only when youve stood in line and it's your turn to pay. I had went in and seen that a few candy bars were bogo. Guys scans them and rings me up for 2. It's buy one get one? Well the scanner says it's not, well then hand written sign says it is. We did not buy them. Also this location is not 24hrs. Which is fine, but don't advertise on Google that it is. Please change it!
Arrived at speedway at 10:01pm today... Why advertise to be open 24hrs if you are not a 24hr location.... Monitor your website.... People trust what the site says, and if in need of , gas or whatever after 10pn I guess you aren't open.... Just say that , so people don't waste their gas driving there if you aren't open.... Love speedway for years but a lot of locations are starting to go down.... Losing faith in speedway...
I reluctantly go there only because it's close. I pull in, Credit card reader does not work, no sign to tell you that. I go somewhere else for gas. 2 weeks later, the same thing. This time, I figured I'll go in and pay. Told my wife this story. She had the same experience a day earlier. But she couldn't go in and pay because there's a sign on the door. "Be back in 20 minutes".It's in a great neighborhood, and a great location. If they tried a little harder, it could be a nice place. I live 5 minutes away, I have 3 cars, there are plenty of gas stations close by, we will be going elsewhere from now on.
Reasonable gas at the present time, but make sure you pay attention to the sign, as well as the pump. This was Thursday, June 2nd.
This location is understaffed, and when there are workers they are very nonchalant and rude. The parking lot is always obstructed, making hard to get in and out.
I just visited the north avenue store on September 4th at about 1250-1pm and the door had a manually written note that read lunch break. Several minutes past and I young woman exited the store with a dust pan and broom and walked to the back of the store. A rush came and the lot was full of customers and she proceeded to slowly walk around the lot sweeping up air and ignoring customers when they asked how long will she be. This went on for 20 more minutes with her continuing to slowly walk around sweeping up absolutely nothing. She then went back into the store and locked the doors and went to the back for an additional 10 minutes. Dozens of costumers came and left disappointed during that time and I left.
They finally fired the rude lady that worked there so it’s pretty pleasant to go there. Now the problem you’re gonna run into is when the doors are closed at 10:40pm instead of 11 like the hours say… I get off work late and they close early most nights. Walking or driving up…
Asked a question, she said "no" and hung up. Just not great customer service.
