First time going to Sparta Family Dentistry! Staff was great, super friendly and accommodating! I feel be switching from my old dentist to this one permanently!

Love this office. Friendly staff and Dr's Savino & Mahr are great. My kids loved going and weren't afraid at all.

I used to have an extreme fear of dentists. However, Dr. Savino, Dr. Maher and staff are very friendly and caring. You feel so comfortable the entire time you are there. They explain the procedure(s) and make sure you're comfortable while you are in the chair. Always on time. No waiting for your appointment is a big plus. I needed alot of dental work done. And I was explained my options to fit within my budget. I never thought I would say this. But, I honestly enjoy going to the dentist!

I went there with my family and everything started off all right. My husband needed some extra work done and was scheduled for a deep cleaning, I had spoken to the receptionist Stephanie and gave her my credit card number as she explained that the payment was for the cleaning I said that was fine and gave her my credit card number. Still at this point my husband was not aware that he was only getting half of his mouth done the only time he found out was when he actually sat in the dentist chair and was told they were going to do half of his mouth. He was under the impression and so was I that the payment was going to cover the cleaning the entire thing not just one sitting. When his next appointment came he ended up missing his appointment I have been having a very difficult pregnancy and then ended up in the hospital and Stephanie still said she was going to charge him $50 for missing the appointment I told her fine but make sure you charge him and not me. She called back after hanging up and said she has an appointment for next Tuesday, next Tuesday rolls around and my husband shows up for the appointment right away he is asked for another $130. Since we are both under the impression that the first payment covered the deep cleaning it was refused to pay and he left. When I got wind of this I was very upset and called myself Stephanie was extremely rude indicating that I was poor and couldn't afford it and told me that she told me that I was only going to cover half of the mouth which is a complete 100% lie. For reasons such as this I have all my conversations recorded and I can prove that this receptionist is indeed a liar I feel that this was a bait-and-switch operation and if not then the receptionist definitely needs to learn how to speak to her patients and explain billing costs. After her getting loud with me and me getting love with her she hung up I then called back and was hung up on again after calling back a third time the actual doctor pick up the phone and pretty much sided with her. I feel like I was scammed, and not only that but my intellect was also downplayed. After three times of this nasty woman hanging up on me on 3 different occasions I definitely did not recommend this place. She also informed me that they do not bill patients because they have been ripped off too many times, how is it my fault that the dentist was ripped off, is it because I am Hispanic? In the future you should definitely train your staff to be more personable and also explain the billing before anything is even started this woman Stephanie put a horrible horrible taste in my mouth about this practice and I will make sure to spread the word around. I'm actually contemplating taking this to civil court since I have the evidence that the proper price was not explained. When I said this to the dentist he did not seem too concerned and said well I can't stop you. I guess this is how you're treated when you are of Hispanic descent and go to a predominantly Caucasian practice.
