Story

Sparkle Beauty House is inspired by the vision of Ann Evans, an entrepreneur with a long-time involvement in beauty and fashion.

Ann had a vision for a beautiful salon that was unique in its styling, where clients could come in and be welcomed like a friend returning home. She desired a place that clients could consider as their home for hair, and have a place to get away from the mundane of the every day. A place where clients were valued as people, not as a calculation of dollars per hour and quick turnover. Sparkle Beauty has "House" in the name because she and her vision want you to feel at home. Our house shines and sparkles with vibrant colours, fun, and of course a crazy eyes catching designs. Like Ann, our House has a big personality and a big heart.

It was with this in mind that Sparkle Beauty House was born. From the gold furniture to all the crystal lights, and the relaxing, comfy shampoo beds to the classically styled decor, this is a unique house.

Every day, Ann and her team tirelessly work to ensure that you enjoy your visit to our House and that you leave looking, and feeling, sparkling.

Ann went above and beyond with helping me get ready for a really important work event! What an impressive woman : She put me at ease as I was really nervous, and helped me look my very best as well. She gave me amazing conversation, a beautiful hairstyle, and nice, clean make-up - exactly what I was looking for. If you are lucky enough to get an appointment and be her client, she will definitely exceed all expectations!
My experience at Sparkle Beauty House was amazing. Ann is a really unique, generous and caring person. She really loves to make all those around her sparkle. She is very passionate about her job and does it for the joy of making others happy , rather than for the money. I felt like I was hanging out with a new friend rather than with a new hairdresser. She styled my hair exactly as I wanted and also gave me tips on how to look after my hair after coloring it. My hair was also very healthy even after bleaching, so she really makes sure to protect your hair when styling or coloring it. I highly recommend Ann , she is an incredibly, talented, driven and inspiring lady. You will leave the salon feeling like a princess.
I was very happy with both my experience and my haircut at Sparkle beauty house! Ann starts with a hair consultation and discuses, what you are looking for, your hair history and what will match your face shape. It's not often that you find a hairdresser that will take the time an effort to make sure you get the best results possible! The decor is very cute and the name Sparkle Beauty House suits it very well. Ann is very kind and welcoming and by the time you leave you'll feel like you've made a new friend!
Ann was very friendly!! She will give you a lot of tips and options how to take care of your hair and what would be the best look for you. She made my hair stunning than ever! I love how it looks now! She puts a lot of effort on your hair and makes sure that you're comfortable while waiting for your hair to be done. First of all, the salon is very beautifully designed and makes you feel really glamorous. Ann the owner is very generous and kind and makes you feel welcome throughout the whole experience. I have had my hair cut and straightened there and I am always very happy with the results, highly recommend!
After more than a month of searching which salon whom i should trust my hair and finally i found you Sparkle Beauty House. I went here yesterday and Ann the owner/stylish/actor is very friendly, funny, outgoing and very talented human being.. as you step in to her salon her personality shows. She has this very creative ideas and very smart in making suggestions and she will make sure that the color you wanted will be the outcome of her work. I myself is very satisfied and happy with her magic on my hair and not only that, when you camp on her castle she will treat you as a princess, make you as one for a day. I am so glad that i waited and meet Ann. It's very worth it to spend a day with Sparkle Beauty House not only the money wise but the friendship you will feel on their company.. Sparkle Beauty House is beyond words amazing. They took me in on a day they don't normally serve and the did amazing thing. They went above and beyond what was necessary when it comes to customer service and really made me feel at home. Ann was very sociable and easy to talk to and was also very informative about my hair and what I can do to improve it. Along with the fact that the establishment is extremely well kept and beautiful, this place deserves more than five stars.
I went to go see Anne to have my hair coloured from blonde to platinum. Anne listened to what I wanted, and knocked it out of the park! Not only is my hair exactly what I wanted, but it’s still super healthy! Anne is so talented I would recommend her and her beautiful salon to anyone and everyone!
i got my hair straightened at sparkle beauty house and right off the bat you get treated like a princess being spoiled with tea and treats. And the hair washing chairs are to die for they are comfortable and easy on your neck unlike other places i have been to. Ann is a blast and such a wonderful personality making you feel even more welcome and loved the experience was worth every dollar and every minute
Where do I even begin because this salon is perfection at every level! So many good things so I will categorize it by the salon, stylist, and service. The salon itself is conveniently located in the international village mall beside the Stadium Chinatown Station, on the second floor. As I rely on public transit while I am in Van, this is a bonus. Booking an appointment with this salon is jut as convenient as transiting to the storefront itself as the website has a rapid response WhatsApp feature. In addition to the ease of making an appointment casually via text message, the salon is incredibly accommodating of fitting the duration of your appointment into what’s ideal for your personal schedule instead of fitting you into theirs. I would also mention, they have a cult following of loyal customers and are selective of new clients based on the high level of service offered inside the salon. I am so grateful they we able to accommodate me as I was a new client, looking for a very particular hair treatment, with a limited timeframe to do it in. My appointment was booked with Ann. In short, I am now forever dedicated to only letting her style my hair when I am in Vancouver and might even hold out on going to my regular salon in California if I have the possibility for traveling back to Van. Ann will rise impressively high above whatever expectations you have for the service you book. It is apart of her altruistic personality and it is so clear that she loves what she does, not for herself but because of the glowing transformation her customers leave with. I was interested in the only the keratin treatment just to get the frizz out and save time from getting ready in the morning. However, my hair needs work, over the years I have colored, bleached, and have been inconsistent with my hair maintenance. Following the treatment, it was clear that with an additional 30 minutes of a quick color and ends touch up my hair had the potential to level up from crispy scraps to a flowing mane! She did all of this, not because I asked, but because she knew of the difference I would feel in my personal confidence that it would elevate my professional image. Throughout the entire appointment, she was incredibly professional, cordial, efficient, and generous with her time and kindness in executing the treatment. This is not a quick trim and go go service, she is a perfectionist and wants your hair to have its best potential look that fits your lifestyle. Lastly, regarding keratin service itself. I am a grad student so my time is limited, valuable, and I have a limited budget. This service is generally on the pricier side, due the many factors that go into its application but if you have been straightening your hair for years it is SO WORTH IT. If you are still reading this review bc you are considering the treatment, defo request an appt w Anne at Sparkle bc it will be the best investment of your time! I have compared prices everywhere, and this is, in a word “the works”. The cost is average for Vancouver, but you receive luxury level treatment. It hasn’t been yet 48 hrs to where I can rinse after my appointment, but I can already tell the accuracy of its application by its texture and would note the meticulous way it was applied to every hair I know it will last much longer than my last one elsewhere. Getting keratin for curly/wavy hair is an exchange of your hot tools for low maintenance sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and Sparkle will provide you with thorough aftercare instruction an products to protect your investment! PS the wash station chairs are comfy AF and the salon itself is rococo adorable!
