Story

Olympia's beloved Spar Café was family-owned for 60 of its 70 years of existence and then changed hands to another Pacific Northwest family — ours! From its original days as a blue-collar joint for dockworkers and loggers to its modern reinterpretation as a gathering spot for students, politicians and legislators, The Spar has a long-running history as an anchor of the community.

They make some of the best drinks in downtown Olympia. Food is very good as well. Lots of character without being too flashy.
Food is very good, service was quick and polite. I tired their spar vodka, made from the artesian spring in the basement. It's a good, clean, smooth vodka with nice finish. I'd recommend the restaurant and the vodka! A sweet surprise from an ale house!
Food and drinks are unique and highly crafted. Staff is friendly. Their rotating drinks are a great perk. Went with my four year old ADHD son. There were a lot of things he just wanted to poke so maybe best as a date spot.
Jeremy the cook went out of his way to make our companies Christmas burritos. They were delicious!!! Kristy the manager has the best customer service. She is always kind and friendly. Thank you from the Olympic Plumbing Technology team.

Stopped here for breakfast because it had pretty good reviews. Drove out my way 30 min.. the wait was about, 30 min.. understandable because they were busy. Coffee/cappuccino was nasty! Sausage was gross, didn't bring silverware. Didn't bring drinks for about 30 min. Nice server.. but service wasn't good.
