Another first for us. We were headed up to Silverstar and decided to check this place out. I prefer palm trees and oceans, but when you're in BC, you go with it. It's absolutely beautiful here. I can't wait to come back in the summer to see the transformation.
The best cross-country ski trails in the country! Groomed daily and with the most consistent snow from early November until mid-April. Beautiful terrain for beginners to experts for both classic and skate skiing. The snowshoe trails are spectacular. Rentals are available on site. Super friendly staff.
Great trails for all kinds of adventure. Paid more than at Big White Nordic but it was beautiful and well maintained.
Great snowshoe trails. Just under 2 hrs to the cabin taking the hidden meadow + wild goose trails. Crisp and clear day, -17 and nobody was around! weekday Tuesday. Cabin is well stocked. Haven't been to Sovereign Lake in years but always thoroughly enjoy it. Ticket purchasing process online is easy.
Nice trails, but dogs are not welcome. Dogs are only allowed a small number of black trails White Elephant, Montezuma, and Montezuma's Revenge and one tiny green trail Wylie's Loop, half a kilometer. You are not allowed to have a dog for warm-up or training in the stadium, or on any of other green and blue trails. That is way too restrictive! Dogs not even allowed on Gold Mountain - come on! Even worse, you have to be a season pass holder and buy a season pass for your dog - no day tickets.
Wonderful trails and facility. Signing up on my phone using the website was a bit troublesome. If you don't select the country from the dropdown list I foolishly typed it in it won't display the province field, and it annoyingly says that Canada is an invalid entry.
Amazing selection of trails! Reasonable rates, tons of night skiing! Usually favourable conditions. Still my favourite place to be! Better terrain than Whistler.
Great trails, wonderful cabin for lunch, and We had great snow. You have to do the marvelous Jessica's trail!
Our first visit to sovereign lake but it won't be our last. Trails were great, lots of snow and a really nice atmosphere. See you next year.
First timer at classic xc skiing. The place is fantastic for this; buying your pass online may seem cumbersome at first, but once you do it, it's not too bad. Ppl are friendly. Lodge is nice for warming up after, but could be tight on a busy day. Bring your own warm beverage and snack, there's no cafeteria there. Parking seems ample but, again, can be tight on a busy day.
