"Au cours de sa tournée nord-américaine, la Superstar grecque Mihalis Hatzigiannis a découvert Melina Mammas, une jeune chanteuse grecque canadienne, fille de Lawrence Mammas, et a été invitée à dîner à La Belle & La Boeuf où il a été tellement impressionné par le groupe qu’il a proposé un partenariat pour apporter une cuisine authentique grecque Souvlaki, avec un concept Foodtastic à Montréal. Voilà que Souvlaki Bar est né, ouvrant notre premier magasin le 12 septembre 2014. Plus de 5000 personnes ont assisté à la grande fête d’ouverture où Mihalis et Melina ont joué à l’extérieur devant plusieurs fans heureux. Une chose est certaine chez Souvlaki Bar."

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves on the last day of vacation and took a chance on this spot, and we have no regrets! We couldn't stop eating and commenting how everything was so tasty. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs - we barely made a dent in the meat shovel because we stuffed ourselves with the delicious appetizers taramosalata & grilled octopus! But we tasted everything, including the Greek salad and lemon potatoes not pictured and it was the best Greek food we've ever had - that's coming from New Yorkers. Everything was so well done, balanced flavors - not too salty/sour etc. Oh, the tzaziki is so rich, creamy, slightly sweet - I could have eaten a tub of it. Please open up shop in NYC!
The atmosphere is great the service is great the overall in product it's not so great I would figure with as many burgers that's on the menu the first thing that would be asked is do you want it cook well or which temperature. That did not happen, secondly I would not expect or did not expect for the burger to come out extra well. It was so dry and chewy I just expected this place to be better I would say a 3 because I don't pay just for looks I pay for great food!
