"Au cours de sa tournée nord-américaine, la Superstar grecque Mihalis Hatzigiannis a découvert Melina Mammas, une jeune chanteuse grecque canadienne, fille de Lawrence Mammas, et a été invitée à dîner à La Belle & La Boeuf où il a été tellement impressionné par le groupe qu’il a proposé un partenariat pour apporter une cuisine authentique grecque Souvlaki, avec un concept Foodtastic à Montréal. Voilà que Souvlaki Bar est né, ouvrant notre premier magasin le 12 septembre 2014. Plus de 5000 personnes ont assisté à la grande fête d’ouverture où Mihalis et Melina ont joué à l’extérieur devant plusieurs fans heureux. Your rating on the place will vary greatly depending on what you order. Everything else is as you'd expect: great and friendly staff, quick service, nice authentic-looking decor. When it comes to the food, it could be 5-stars or it could be 3. Flavour is a hit or miss on some dishes. The meat shovel is by far my favourite dish but you need to share it with someone. The pork and bifteki are loaded with flavour. Dishes with chicken are sometimes lacking some flavour but at least the chicken is never dry. As for the calamari, it's delicious but you don't get much of it for $20.
The service at this place was fantastic, very kind employees. The only reason I give this place 3 stars, is because the chicken didn’t wow me. Very greasy, and can even see a tint of yellow on it because of how much oil they put on the chicken to give it flavour. It was dry, overcooked, and the seasoning wasn’t great. I found the salad to be good, but the dressing was just put on top rather than mixing it. The tomatoes were not yet ripe. The baked greek potatoes were also good, but I find they might be using a tad bit too much olive oil there too as they were entirely coloured in oil. Which makes the plate very fatty and heavy. My rating is based purely on this specific plate, but the experience overall was great!
Food are so generous. We cannot finish them all. The meat is well marinated. Sauce is creamy and so rich.

Very clean and big place, we have been already in the other souvlaki bars, but this one is a little different, the decorations are amazing, the staff is very friendly, the food is amazing, recommend this place to everybody who loves greek food, thanks!Food: 5/5
Amazing food, amazing staff! It was so nice to see how all the staff mingled so well together and how they all helped each other out to make customer service a great one! My husband and I had a great time and this is definitely our new place to go to. Thanks so much for thé wonderful service. I hope the owner knows he has many gems working for him/her. Keep it up guys!!

First time trying but it won't be the last. The portions size are great and it taste amazing. And to make this experience even more pleasant our waitress Joanie was adorable. Will be back
First time there. Ordered 2 starters and 2 main courses. Both starters were inedible. The Filo feta was pure salt and the octopus was just old and flavorless. Canceled our mains, paid and left. Been eating out once a week for over 25 years and fist time I've experienced this.
