overall, I think southridge was ok and had decent education, but a few things concerned me. number one was that the no locks on locker rule resulted in many things. There would always be news about how people were stealing things from other people, and I even heard that teachers would go into students lockers, which was a huge invasion of the students privacy. Also, if there was some sort of conflict, even if it was resolved, the principals will take it super seriously and might even call your parents, even though half of the time it isnt nessecary. Many of the teachers also have biases towards students, and occasionally they will swear. Teachers arent the only ones who have biases, so do the principals. I remember someone who the principal hated so much that she was really stressed and got diagnosed with mental problems. I think the school barely gets a 2/5.
The school pretends to be accepting and inclusive but in reality, it’s quite political. To get in, you need to either know the right people or be super rich. Don’t waste your money here unless you have plenty to waste. At least the building looks decent though?
Great atmosphere and trust with its students. They give laptops to the students as learning tools, which I believe other schools should also do. The friendly community makes this school a great place to go to.
Graduated from here and have nothing but compliments. Make sure you find a group or a few friends you can trust!
The Reach For the Top Tournament had little paper cups. Invest just a tiny bit more into the clubs and events you host.
