Food is always fresh and taste amazing. Staff is always super friendly and welcoming to their establishment. They have the best meat loaf I’ve ever had hands down!! You want good comfort food don’t hesitate to go!
When I say everything was delicious, IMEANNAT!!! From the chicken, to the, fish, to the oxtails, to the greens, EVERYTHING was fye! Customer service was 5-star and the restaurant was clean. We were allowed to sample food to ensure we got what we wanted. DON'T SLEEP ON THE CORNPONE! We'll absolutely be going back! Southern cooking from Southern hands...I'm so glad we found this place!

I wanted to try the new soul food restaurant. I paid $27.58 for an Oxtail dinner with Greens & Cabbage. I felt that the pay-by-the-pound method was ridiculous. The oxtail did not fall-off-the-bone, it was tough & chewy... I had to put them in the air fryer at home. The greens & cabbage we're not flavorful... my home-cooked meal would've been better. It was not a good experience. I hope they do better and just sell dinners at a set price. And season the food better.
This was a great find when we were in Omaha. A bit pricey food is priced by weight, but the food was delicious. My wife and I both had the pot roast. It was very tender and the gravy was so good. The best part was the peach cobbler we had for dessert. We will be back next time we are in Omaha.
The fish was great. The sides were not. My mac and cheese was a glob of something else. The green beans had very little flavor. Watch out because they charge you to use your debit card. No warning just add it on your bill. We weren't happy.Food: 3/5
Family day with the kids. Had a blast. We all had chicken, fried chicken, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese greens, cabbage, cornbread, and meatloaf. I’d say for the most part, everything was on hit besides the fact that the food was cold nothing like cold meatloaf! Gonna go back and hopefully be redeemed I’m try out his catfish!
The “Spoon” was clean and the food was very good. Much enjoyed. Waitress very courteous. I got sold on a sample she gave me. Delicious.
I love the food menu changes everyday and week so I’m able to eat different things and new things I’ve never tried. Overall great food and customer service
its surprisingly good. I would assume it sucks because of how the food was display and this is pay by the pound. The only cons are pay by the pound like other people mentions. Its just not sustainable to me. If you come to other soul food restaurants it would be cheaper or same price but bigger portions. I understand there is a price inflation going on but this pricing system is just not working. Would I eat here again? sure. Will I go here often? probably not. Unless all other sould food restaurant close i would come here as a last options.
