So many products in this grocery store! Contrary to another review, the store policy of cash/debit for purchases under $20 is well marked, I stopped counting at four signs. I found the prices reasonable and found everything I was looking for.
Recently I brought lot of stuffs from there, the staffs who's working on the counter they took some of my stuffs that I paid for. What they did is, they were putting stuffs inside the bag, and they intensionally moved lot of stuffs. Unfortunately, I was moving to another town so I didn't have enough time to check. When I checked the stuffs most of the items were missing. Very bad experience. My advice is to, If u buying something make sure that you are the ones who putting the stuffs inside the bag. I knew that there was a man who's doing this. But unfortunately, I am out of town and there is no way that they're gonna admit the mistake and refund the amount. Shame of you people. You're stealing things. It's not the right way.
I am very impressed with the South Asian Supermarket on Carling Ave. They offer a wide variety of products, including fresh produce, spices, coconuts, and paan leaves. They even have red and white string hoppers with sambal, which are some of the best you can find outside of Montreal and Toronto. Despite the tight space, especially during peak hours, the store goes above and beyond to carry products we usually find back home.
Very poor customer experience. When I unknowingly made my payment by credit card,where they accept only debit card or cash payments the lady in the reception gave me a black look. Wish never to visit there again.
You can find most Indian/Sri-Lankan grocery items at this store. Fresh items arrive on a weekly basis. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful.
