Ended up here by accident following our GPS and not having set it up to avoid ferries. Reasonable price for a family of 4 in a car. Kids are free. short ride across the St Lawrence. Change of pace if you have been driving for a few hours and have the time to kill.
Just a 10 minute ride. Don't mind the one hour wait, you use this route to tour a little.
We often take the ferry, especially on the summer. In the spring, fall and winter less people, so less lineups. But the summer is brutal fir long lineups and waiting for the next ferry. Once we had to wait for a while because it was a long lineup and I think there was only one ferry operational. Our car no longer had A/C and we had our cat with us. He was so hot it was a brutal hot day, once we got close enough to the terminal, I brought our cat inside to cool down. The staff were very understanding. It helped a lot. The terminal is very clean, they have washrooms and A/C in the summer! The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Here we go again. Cars passing you from behind. Waiting like of 1 hour and half. Staff just smoking and vaping and talking together while you get cut off in line. Not only they are late because high traffic, they take their time. Good luck to every worker using the boat this summer! HAHAHAHA you guys will be late all summer long! Ridiculous ! Happy summer
