Ended up here by accident following our GPS and not having set it up to avoid ferries. Reasonable price for a family of 4 in a car. Kids are free. short ride across the St Lawrence. Change of pace if you have been driving for a few hours and have the time to kill.
Just a 10 minute ride. Don't mind the one hour wait, you use this route to tour a little.
We often take the ferry, especially on the summer. In the spring, fall and winter less people, so less lineups. But the summer is brutal fir long lineups and waiting for the next ferry. Once we had to wait for a while because it was a long lineup and I think there was only one ferry operational. Our car no longer had A/C and we had our cat with us. He was so hot it was a brutal hot day, once we got close enough to the terminal, I brought our cat inside to cool down. The staff were very understanding. It helped a lot. The terminal is very clean, they have washrooms and A/C in the summer! The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Absolutely horrible. Anyone that reads the reviews would think it’s quick. Just waiting to take a right onto the ferry line to pay took over 45 minutes. I finally am in a line waiting and it’s already been over 1.5 hours and there isn’t any hope in sight. I doubt I’m even getting to my destination tonight. People all have gotten fed up and are out of their cars, even smoking, while waiting. Quebec, your roads are absolutely horrible. Stop stealing the high taxes and build a bridge.nnOh the kicker is it costs $8.90 just for a car with its driver to cross so not exactly a bargain by any means.nnPlease save yourselves the time, energy and money and just take any other means necessary.
