Welcome to SONAR Comedy and Nightclub

Located at 1466 3rd ave, this is the ONLY Venue for Professional FULLTIME Comedy in Prince George! Every show we will be bringing you 4 COMICS, 2 Television Comics we fly in, (plus a local comedy spot, and an MC), your comedy ticket gives you access to the nightclub after comedy, plus you can go downstairs in The Ultra Lounge to Socialize before or after the comedy shows, then the entire venue turns into a 2 floor nightclub with 2 dance floors, 2 different DJ’s on each floor with big Sound and Big visual Lightshow, plus we have an appetizer food menu. Comedy Tickets are $20 plus transaction fee and this also gets you into the Nightclub FREE. If you are just coming to the Nightclub after comedy is finished, entrance is $5. For the 7pm comedy show, the doors open at 6:30pm, for the 9:30pm comedy show, doors open at 8:00pm.

Fantastic addition to the downtown core. Visited for the early comedy show. Was wowed by the attentive service, and fun atmosphere. Had some of their signature cocktails that were delicious! The comics were fantastic to watch! Later, made our way to the downstairs lounge for drinks and dancing. Was a wonderful experience, and unlike any other club in Prince George. The bathrooms were beautiful and clean, ample security made me feel secure and safe, staff was friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to come back for another night!!

I went to Sonar with my friend for the 9:30 show on a Saturday. The front door staff were happy, welcoming and tidy in appearance.  There was way more seating than expected , which was nice. Everywhere is so clean, including the bathrooms. Which is sure a bonus. The comedians local and not local were very funny and had everyone laughing.  The table we were at was quite wobbly that you had to watch your drink, but its not a big deal we could have switched tables. The server who was taking drink orders was around lots and didnt let you sit there with a empty drink waiting for her to come back and ask if you wanted another. I was hoping to see a bit more of a drink menu for the shows.  We left and came back after they moved all the chairs and tables out for the dance floor, great atmosphere, music and the all staff looked very professional and happy and like they enjoyed their jobs.  Only went downstairs to go to the womens washroom which was sparkling clean, but those stairs on the way down ... watch your step if you have had a few!  I think bathrooms would be more suited upstairs but that's not a deal breaker.  Overall great experience,  I am looking forward to going back soon!

Not impressed. It was heavily promoted as a place couples and women would like to go, and as a woman, I would not go here. Poorly dressed employees, no dress code for patrons. The basement had the most bizarre and uncomfortable setup. The lineup for the too small bar backed onto the dance floor. Barstools facing walls, oldschool diner tables, and arm chairs surrounding the dance floor.... just awkward.

I am so impressed with the staff, patrons and owners of sonar. They have assisted me in throwing a few fundraisers and have been nothing but OUTSTANDING. A true gem in our community and a class act from the ground up.

I've been to several comedy shows there now and have never been disappointed!! Fun atmosphere, great staff, and good prices. Thankful to have a place like this in pg!!!

Sonar Comedy and nightclub is a locally owned club. Last night they offered to cut off wristbands of competing clubs in exchange for free comedy tickets to young club hopping kids. Prince George is a community built on local support and small business ownership. The competing event was one for our very own UNBC students who chose a competing venue for their party. This event was to raise funds for the students and clubs involved. The wristbands were paid for in support of this, and to attempt to cut them to bring more business to them is sad. Business is competitive, but play the game fair as every business student will ever learn, and you will have the respect of other businesses in your community. #SUPPORTLOCAL #PRINCEGEORGE #UNBC

Went there and saw Kathleen McGee this weekend and it was an amazing show. Been there many times and have always seen a good show. Great place for comedy in Prince George.

I have had nothing but extraordinary service and fun at this club! The comedy is fantastic , the owner is with it and the atmosphere is something to be excited about!

DJ changed the  music quickly,  didn't play songs all the way through. One ethnic groups music was  prominent and  very hard to dance to

Good food and the comedy talent they had was 50/50 50% great and 50% not. Room was a bit cramped and VIP lounge downstairs seemed a bit out of place but good overall.
