WORST service EVER. The fat girl who works there is SO rude! She doesn't even get off the phone so she can pay attention to me, her chismis was more important. I had to repeat myself 3 times each time I want to order a dish because she's not paying attention!! I also called a few times to find out what ulam is left and the girl kept saying "marami ano gusto". I asked her to tell me a few things available and she kept saying "anong gusto mo" , how would I know what I want if I don't know what's available. If you hate your job so much, then why are you working here??? Also, their hours say they're open till 7 but they literally stop Serving food at 5:30 and it'll just be dry left overs available at a non-discounted price.
We usually order from Something Sweet their dinuguan and always liked it but this time the dinuguan was not their usual quality. It was very watery and not the thick stew that you'd expect. The meat was cut into big chunks too. It was a disappointment.
Went to this location a couple of times. On both occasions I got two items in large containers but most of the content were potatoes and fatty part with less meat. I noticed that the lady tends to distract you by asking 'what else' when filling up the container so you look the other way maybe it's just me but.., so if you do come to this place, make sure you are watching when she's filling up your order. I'll probably go somewhere else next time.
The servers are not attentive at all. First time i came on an 12:00 afternoon there was no rice ready which is okay thats fine we left and next time i come back which was 4pm where its busy and i came for lunch, AGAIN rice was just being cooked like can you atleast have another pot of rice ready and heated. Now i didnt have the filipino lunch i wanted WAKE UP YALL. Have rice ready especially at these busy times.
I do not understand why the server won't speak tagalog. After serving you she goes on the phone and chats in tagalog anyway. Takes away from the nostalgia of coming to a Filipino restaurant. She even describes the dish in english instead of telling you the actual name of the dish in tagalog. If its "Kaldereta" just say so, dont go saying "beef stew with potatoes" WTH.
I have been to this place a few times and service is generally good. Depending on who serves you, it can either be a good experience or like the server today who filled a cup with 75% of fat sauce and just the remaining of actual food. It looks cheap but actually it's quite expensive for the portion of real food in it. Too bad as I like most of the old people who work there.
Some seating for enjoying meals/drinks. Decent options for fresh cooked meals. Snacks and desserts are available. I would call ahead to inquire about their daily menu options.
Website says they're open til 8 but they actually close at 7. I actually arrived before 7 and they were already closed.... Stupid....
