SOLO Liquor

This store recently changed owners. They have a large selection of coolers and alcohol. It is a small store but makes up for it in the variety of things they carry. The walk in beer cooler keeps things nice and cold. The people who work there are also super nice and will order things in for you if they don't normally carry it. The parking lot is big its across from a Sobeys so lots of space and super convenient that it is open late!

Most importantly, they're open till 2! Friendly staff, admittedly I have never tested their expertise so I can't comment on their knowledge. Selection for liquor is above average and for beer they stock most of the standards but not much for craft/premium.

I wouldn't go to "this" Solo Liquor again. The staff were too busy chatting up at the counter and when I asked for assistance, they had no idea what I was asking for and the girl behind the counter was snotty, rude, arrogant and seemed like I was burdening her for asking for assistance. When I asked her what I was looking for, in her snarky tone she asked "what's that?" I was not greeted when I entered the store and no "bye" when I left. I like the Solo Liquor in the Capilano area, the staff are always helpful and friendly there and take customer service seriously and they're fairly well stocked of everything and prices are pretty decent also. At the Millwoods location, there wasn't much stock of anything, prices were reasonable, but very poor selection and terrible customer service. I won't go back here again.

Online, they said they were open till 2am. Outside their store, they said 2am close. Why were they closed at 1am possibly a little earlier? If you have it posted you should be there. If the hours change, for the benefit of your customers let them know and update your online presence so they wont have to walk a half hour just to find out you're actually closed >:

Reasonable selection. Prices are ok. Was looking for a beer by brewdog out of London. They only had 1 flavor out of 60 and it was $20 for a four pack.

Staff here seem to just stand around behind the counter and chat, seemed like I was inconveniencing them to ask for an item, which they did not even know what it was... seriously? You work at a liquor store and don't know what a cork screw is? When I walked out of the place upset, one of the guys followed me out and while getting into his sports car told me I was the wrong kind of person to shop in their store... Okay, sorry, I will go somewhere else then.

Good service. A bit small, which limits selection. Good prices and conveniently placed if you're visiting any of the nearby stores.

The fat brown guy he said his name is Gurmeet is such an idiot it's ridiculous. He tried robbing me 2 times already by giving no change when it was owed, as well as double charging me for a $100 bottle that he said didn't go through and gave me a receipt that said the transaction wasn't approved but on the debut machine it said it was apporved. Straight bull go to liquor on 17th same prices better service.

Seem to get the best price here. Good selection as well. Edit: 1 year later selection has seemed to decrease at least for tequila
