A GEM for Webster NY. The sushi chefs are great. Very flavorful rolls, especially the spicy tuna and sweet potato. Not overly expensive. Drinks are surprisingly good, like the blue bay cocktail. The hibachi is great too, but I prefer the normal menu better.Food: 5/5
I had recently visited this restaurant for the first time and I must say I was impressed. The food was cooked to perfection and the chef was very entertaining. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had nice decor and was very clean.
Great experience! A fun place to go. Watch the chefs do their thing on the hibachi, friendly staff. Can't go wrong with whichever dinner you select... chicken and scallops, fried rice, shrimp on the side, delicious. Keep a close listen for "Open your mouth!" look up... you may have a lump of rice on the way. Sake,sake,sake!!!Food: 5/5
Unfortunately we were unable to sit in the hibachi area since it was booked out. Which likely means it is a hot commodity. But our dining experience was worth it. Sushi was amazing. We all got a round of Mai Tais and enjoyed hearing their hibachi cooks go ham on the grills. Next time hoping to be in the action with the hibachi area.Dine in: Yes
Went For Dinner with the Wife and Mother in law. I had the Filet mignon steak and chicken Hibachi wife and Mother In law had the lobster and Filet mignon. Food was delicious the only reason I didn't make the review 5 stars is because the waiter forgot to add extra eggs and steak to the rice but was other wise very entertaining and professional we sat with another Family and the host made sure to get both parties involved and engaged
I took my wife and son to get some Hibachi and we had a very fun dining experience. The Hibachi Chef was super friendly and very skilled and put on a great show for us. The selection of food available is impressive and Sogo has a very classy bar as well. This restaurant is a bit pricey but it's a Japanese steakhouse, most of them are. The price is not unreasonable considering the quality of the food, the service and the experience. We won't be able to Hibachi a lot but when we do, it's at Sogo Japanese steakhouse. Cheers! Kid-friendliness: My son was amazed at watching the Hibachi Chef cook and the Chef was friendly towards him and he seemed to enjoy feeding the kids most of all. Parking: You won't have an issue finding parking, even during the busiest times.
Definitely worth the visit if you’re around. Food was great. Perfectly cooked, spectacular flavor. Not the cheapest but you get your money’s worth.
Came here to celebrate our 11 year wedding anniversary and was pleasantly surprised by the flavorful sushi! My husband and I are from Southern California and have been disappointed in multiple locations but this one was great!! We are thankful to have come here! We ordered the Tiger, Monkey, Webster and Lobster Dragon. All tasted great! We also loved our friendly server Sarah who was helpful since it was our first time there! We will be back again in the future.
Not a good experience at all… it started off ok… my steak was not fully cooked. I spoke with my waitress who informed a manger. The manger asked me to cut into my steak, he had his own knife in which “he” thought he was going to play over my food this steak was fatty and undercooked What the packaged me to replace this steak was a horrible piece of steak as well. I will stick to the greece location.
Terrible first time at a hibachi place. I called ahead and made a reservation because it was my daughters 14th birthday. We requested Tony because he came highly recommended by a family member. We arrived and were sat at the back of the table where the chefs back was to us. We were also seated with a group of older adults. Our chef never did the rice balls or Saki or explained anything to us. Bring it was our first time we had no clue what they were serving us or what was on the salad. I’m allergic to egg so I ordered steamed white rice and the chef threw rice with egg on my plate. To top it off the people Next to us had a kid with a birthday also and my daughter had to sit there and watch them blow up balloons for that table and sing happy birthday. My husband even said hey we have a birthday girl too, and we were ignored. We will not be going back and do not recommend this place at all. Very disappointing!
