DON’T WAIT OUTSIDE IF U MADE AN APPOINTMENT. I’ve seen reviews of waiting outside for hours even with an appointment. If you have an appointment, go inside and the guard will direct you. You’ll receive a ticket with a number and wait until your number is called. I got there an hour earlier 9:05 than my appointment time 10:10 just in case. My number was called at 10:12. The entire process for exchanging a driver’s license took 30min-ish. Despite the waiting time, everyone working there was kind. I advise you to go earlier than your appointment time just in case, if possible.
Had my appointment by 1:30pm, came there an hour early for my appointment because the you still have to queue even if you have an appointment. The wait time takes forever, and I wasn’t attended to until 3:50pm.
4th June 2021 I was there without appointment which is not good during this pandemic, But it was well organized and somehow I went in and why I was disappointed Mr.JEAN.M who was at the counter not ready to listen what I was saying and keep entrapping but he wanted me to listen to him and when I talk he was like… SIR SIR SIR meaning he don’t want me talking.. which is shows all this years he was rude with people specifically new comers , non French speakers I felt not good and I answered he’s questions but when I asked he’s name he said look at the name board… And the securities not all the one with glasses no politeness on he’s service. At the end I left the place with unhappy since I had to pay 475$ something for 1000$ worth car only reason they gave it was 2013 model which was not satisfied me at all…. MY KIND REQUEST IS TO THE RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE TO MAKE SURE NOT TO MAKE US EMBARRASSED. Thanks with respect.
Renewing my driver's license is a nightmare. The most recent online appointment is two months away. I tried the Maisonneuve outlet without an appointment and the officer said they couldn't access my files without an appointment even though there was no one waiting there except me. Then I drove myself to two outlets that accept walk-in and saw exactly what the pictures showed, people lining up for hours outside in -20 degrees. Terrible experience.
Avoid this SAAQ as much as you can! They have a high volume of customers, and on top of that, they are handling it very poorly. I booked an appointment to take a knowledge exam at 9:30 am. I got there at 9:14 am. You will think im bluffing when I say I got out of the saaq building at 12 pm because they are handling customers terribly slow, and the process is slow as well. P.s. My exam took 15-20 minutes less time I had to wait to even enter the building! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU DONT HAVE TO!!!
I book my appointment at 9:45am,Friday, i came early but i wait almost 3 hours. Still i do not get my turn. The service of this Saaq is VERY BAD!!!!!!!. If you don’t have time to see people, so, why you give the appointments? Such a wastage of time. There was a huge line and people have to wait outside and as everyone know about the temperature. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!
Monday morning visit with appointment. 90 mins later still waiting. Half of the service agents are currently taking a break and no number is called for the last 15 mins. Very frustrating, understaffed public service. Outcome: spent 3 hrs on location. A piece of paper is missing. I have to try for days to find someone on the phone, get another appointment for weeks later and spend another dreadful day at SAAQ. Waste of time, worst public service…
Appointment takes forever. Why do you have to make an appointment if you have to wait forever So far the worst experience in Canada. Sometimes I question myself whether I am in Canada. It feels like an office in a third world country when you enter this place. So much incompetent people in a single place! Can’t believe!
A week ago, i had gone to the SAAQ in Dorval and the employee had refused to schedule me an appointment, even though i had told them that my probationary license would expire in a week. Fast forward to today, on the day of its expiration, i decided to visit the SAAQ in Henri-Bourassa and was originally told that the earliest availability would be mid-May. Fortunately, the worker kindly granted me a walk-in appointment after understanding the predicament i was in. Although the wait time was nearly 2 hours long which is to be expected, since i had no appointment and the place seems to be understaffed, i’m extremely grateful for the employee’s kind gesture. * For anyone with a probationary license, i was told that you must book an appointment yourself on Saaqclic prior to its expiry date, in order to ensure that you receive your driver’s license on time. You will only receive a renewal through the post if it’s for a driver’s license, not probationary.
Incompetent staff and disabled system. Can’t do anything on time. Even if you have an appointment have to stay in a queue for hours. Missing records of payment made to them. Missing the photo that they took for the license. Came here 3 days to check what happened to my license. Disgrace to Canada.
