I have been shopping at Farm Boy for many years and have visited several different locations since I was a child. Throughout that time, I have consistently experienced friendly and professional customer service. Cashiers have typically greeted customers, offered bags, and helped with bagging purchases when needed.nnUnfortunately, my experience today with Nasi G was the worst customer service experience I have had at any Farm Boy location. As someone who has worked in customer service for over a decade, I understand that employees can be busy but during my transaction, it wasn’t busy and I was not greeted, offered bags, or offered any assistance with bagging my groceries. She had the time to chat with a coworker which I usually don’t have issues with if I’m at least receiving common courtesy. What made the experience more upsetting was that after my purchase, while waiting for my Uber, I observed the same cashier providing bagging assistance to other customers. Being treated differently from those around me left me feeling uncomfortable. While I cannot know the reason for the difference in treatment, the experience was significant enough that it made me question whether discrimination may have played a role.nnI have always enjoyed shopping at Farm Boy and have generally had positive experiences, which is why this interaction stood out so strongly. I hope management will review this feedback and ensure that all customers receive the same level of courtesy, assistance, and respect.
This location offers the worst shopping experience time-after-time, with out fail. The food is fine and that's the only reason I continue to shop here, besides that I personally hate being stalked, profiled, and followed around the store every time I go for groceries. You're highly obvious floor walkers that follow me without fail, go so far as to stand at the check-out as I wait in line to watch me pay.nDid you catch everytime?nWould you like to set up a receipt check and bag count on the way out for your regular customers as well like Costco?nDefinitely feels like a case of targeted profiling to me.nPerhaps, the approach a location like the merivale farmboy uses might be a better option, security that is identified by their uniform, not identified because they are stalking the customers. Or even better, the approach the independent on bank street uses with cameras and employees monitoring activity in a private area. Install cameras, you can spy on us in private, but just make sure that your little stalkers are only watching us.nSo blatantly rude and disgusting.nThe customers don't need to be profiled and stalked.nHumans have rights!!!
Got the smoked meat on rye today for lunch from the hot prepared foods section. So great! Massive sandwich and the meat just falls apart. Bread is lovely and fresh. Great lunch option for 10 dollars!nI got the hand held turkey club today. Super good! Loads of turkey! Bacon and cheese lettuce and tomato! Yum! I would definitely get this again. The turkey club wrap is also so good. A lot of turkey! Crunchy bacon.nGot the deli trio wrap today. Made today. Yum! worth the money!nThe falafel wrap is yummy! They use their own hummus and tabouli. I recommend getting it the same day it’s made as it’s a bit wet. Super tasty!
Doesn't have standard brands but the selection is amazing with lots of variety and smaller sizes. Great for traveling and when you want to consume quickly. If you want bigger sizes, go to Costco. Prices were reasonable, and had a great selection of fresh fruit, veggies, breads, and store-made items.
I almost never post reviews unless I don't have to, but my experience at Farmboy a few days ago really changed my mind about this place.nnI do not usually come here because of the bad experiences here, especially with rotten food, refunds, and the rudeness/nonchalantness from the store managers. But a few days ago, I had to come back here because I was in the area.nnI was served by a training cashier named Ivie, and she was incredibly kind. She greeted me with a great big smile, asked how my day was going, and proceeded to pack my entire load of groceries, even though I hadn't expected her to. There were a few issues with some of the items not scanning, but to kill time while waiting for help, she began a great conversation about Ottawa because I shared that I am originally from Nunavut, and she seemed very intrigued and asked many questions, which made me almost forget about the non-scanning item. Although our interaction was cut short, her kindness really helped me up on a day I was feeling pretty down.
