I want to give a huge shoutout to Nicole, a young lady working at Sobeys on Tacoma Drive. Her customer service is absolutely outstanding! From the moment I interacted with her, she was polite, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great shopping experience.nnNicole showed genuine care and professionalism, and it’s rare to find someone so dedicated and positive, especially in retail. She handled everything efficiently and with a smile — it truly made my day better.nnEmployees like Nicole are the reason customers keep coming back. We use these folks for Voila pickup. The service has been fantastic. The servers are wonderful and engaging. Keep up the great work. Also - consider offering reusable crates with a deposit rather than bags!
So, I go to buy a cake. After standing at the bakery counter for 10 min, a worker decided to put bread out before attempting to serve me, when she finally comes over I asked her to write happy birthday on it. She informed me there isn’t enough room and offers me a plastic piece, which would not fit any better, so after spending 18.99+ tax for a cake, I had to buy a four pack of gel for an additional 6.99+ tax and write it myself. Would have been nice if it were in icing, not gel, and I didn’t have to do this myself in the wind and rain in the driveway in my car trunk. So much for customer service. I will move my business to superstore going forward. I’ve been a Sobeys customer for 30 of my 45 years and the service has gotten so bad, not even an attempt was made, I guess on a Friday after the manager is gone for the day they don’t feel a need to provide any customer service. Shameful really.
If I could leave no stars I would. Starting off with a mispriced item that they continuously argued with me about and when it finally was resolved and I got back to cash, the cashier, a very rude one at that, decided to try and argue with me on MANAGER’S decision, rolled her eyes with me, raised her voice, and proceeded to talk about me to the next customer. On top of that, they had construction going on and usually that wouldn’t be problem but considering it resulted in debris flying all over, especially over cash registers where customers were checking out with their food and it was flying in people’s eyes that in itself is a huge safety risk and possible violation.
Mike from produce gives that department life. Very personable & friendly. These are the types of employees that set u apart from the superstore. It’s staff like Mike that keeps us coming back. Interacting with the customers is excellent customer service.
