I have been a long term customer of Sobeys and toggle between this location and the Fonthill one. The in-house bread is excellent, along with the seafood and produce. I can sometimes snag some meat deals on clearance. Trouble is that the prices of most things are truly outrageous. Many of the exact same items at a competitor a km away are often double the price. Regular meat prices are not sensible, and deli meat, for example, can be 3-4x the price of a local butcher. Pictured is a leg of lamb that was 3x the price of a similar one at other local stores at the same time. Staff are generally quite friendly and helpful.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of stock. Clean facility. Produce meat and fish are fresh. Great and tasty selection of hot food. Fast cashiers. Plenty of parking though can be difficult getting in and out of the lot. Free WiFi. Carts are always available. Baskets available as well.
After waiting 3 months they finally get their sale item in stock, but won’t honour their rain check because it’s past 30 days. Don’t have sale if you can’t keep your end of the deal!
I didn't see any worker with a smile on their face. And the cashier I had didn't ask about my scene card or if I wanted a bag! I had a baby with me. I also told her things were separate.. she said ok. But put them all together!
Usually a good produce selection. Flyer shop to get best prices. Meat department often has marked down near-expiring foods.
