Buyer Beware. Not sure why I'm surprised but bought some peppers stuffed with sausage here yesterday. Looked at the expiry date today and they were best before yesterday but not discounted at all. This is not the first time we have found expired product on the shelves and when it is shown to a manager nothing seems to change. Be careful everyone.nnBuyer Beware. Be careful everyone.nnUpdate: talked to the manager to return the original expired peppers and she said she would speak to the meat department and handle it. We went to the store today and noticed this in the meat department - lots of in-store made burgers in the coolers with a best before date of today - not discounted at all. Guess she's really handling it.
I have gone to this store since it opened. Since new management has come on board it’s not the same. It makes me sad. My last visit was just days ago and the manager Marianne according to name tag that walked by me made a comment about me leaning on the cart.nFor context I’m disabled I wear a brace on my leg and suffer severe fatigue. Sobey’s DOES NOT HAVE MOBILITY SCOOTERS. If you see me leaning it’s because I’m done. I make my small purchase and go home. Tootles!
Didn’t appreciate being followed around by the big brown guy, I assume a ghost shopper. Every aisle my daughter and I went down he showed up, we made eye contact multiple times even while we stood in the checkout.nnOnly reason I’d like to point this out is because my 13 year daughter noticed before I did. Very uncomfortable and obvious discrimination.
I REALLY love the bakery here. Their bread, cookies, and other baked goods are incredibly delectable!nThey all sell my FAVORITE soda COVE Soda!nStaff are phenomenal!nSobeys Forest Lawn is a staple in the neighborhood!
Always good. Lots of parking and decent. Always clean and have only ever had issues with one cashier a few times who seemed cranky all the time, and felt the need to tell me all the things I did wrong with how I packed my vegetables without a code, while I was carrying a sick and sleeping baby. Another cashier had to come in possibly her supervisor whi had seen her act this way before and tell her to just look up the code to ring it in.nBut otherwise it's always been good.
