Sobeys Bathurst

I went it to inquire about purchasing some pork hocks, but hadn’t bothered with a cart as no other store had been selling them. Imagine my surprise when he said yes, we do and there is a special on today. Did you check the counter? No, I replied as I really wanted to verify before searching for them. He saw that they were sold out of the prepared ones and asked how many I wanted while letting me know that the sale was buy 2 get one free. Of course I ordered 3 packages. I then made him aware that I needed some vegetables to go with the meat and would return to pick up the pork hocks. He scared up a cart for me while mentioning that the fresh yellow beans would be a great addition to the meal. I went in for pork hocks and came out with turnips, an onion, some yellow beans and ice cream plus ice cream cones for dessert. He was terrific. Now I will shop more often at Sobeys.

Not my fault. Learn the country language.

Very clean and organized. Big supermarket.

Nice people who work there, but it's the most expensive food store in town. Produce selection is very weak and way overpriced. Even the deals there are rarely deals, just ways to get rid of something expiring, in bulk, like instead of paying regular price for one, buy two of them for twice the regular price! Wow, What a deal!
