We dropped in for a quick lunch when passing by Antigonish. It was difficult to find a place for lunch before 11am here. This restaurant offered great food selection from breakfast to lunch. People work here were friendly no table service, you order at the counter and they will call you when your food is ready. We enjoyed our meal here.
This restaurant is conveniently located for a quick stop! The prices were reasonable however the food was just ok. The best was the chowder.
I really enjoy eating at the Snow Queen when in Antigonish. It's a homey style eatery, the food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are welcoming. A patron couldn't ask for anything more, when looking for a quick bite.
If you find yourself driving across Nova Scotia on the way to Cape Breton or elsewhere, you might eventually find yourselves hungry and in need of a short rest. If that happens within 100km of the city of Antigonish, you might consult Google Maps for a diner, thinking that breakfast is a perfectly suitable mid-afternoon meal. There's a very good chance you will be lead to Snow Queen and if you find yourself in this situation, rejoice. Food will be tasty, service will be friendly and the coffee will be far superior to that garbage you once drank at IKEA because you were desperate. You might find it necessary to intentionally stop there on the drive back, if only to determine whether or not you had strayed into a diner-dream on your previous visit. Snow Queen is a real place. Your return visit will be even better than your first.
The seafood chowder was fantastic. Filled with seafood!! Burgers were a bit too salty for our liking but the kids enjoyed it.
My wife got a one piece fish and chips and I got a 2 piece, the fish was burnt and disgusting!, It cost 53 dollars. The woman cleaning the tables used the same cloth to clean the seats, also disgusting!Food: 1/5
Great spot to eat, I always have a great meal here it is a classic here in Antigonish.Food: 5/5
Fun little throwback place - had a couple of issues with orders getting mixed up, but still a fun escape to a blast from the past
Great place for any kind of meals. We've stayed in Antigonish on vacation and ended up having most of our breakfasts at Snow Queen, plus some lunches too. Tried all the breakfast options and they were all so tasty! The chowder is delicious as well. Though I might not remember every single dish we tried, I know that there were none that we didn't like. The staff is also very friendly and nice. I felt very comfortable visiting every time. Th eace feels like a true community staple. Highly recommend!
Good place to stop for a quick bite. I feel sorry for Paul.
