First time here and was excited to check this place out since it’s been operating since I was born. It’s a Toronto staple. The place has graffiti everywhere and I’m guessing it’s the street/ urban vibes that they’re going for. It’s kind of a grimy bar and I didn’t expect the food to be great, I only wanted to grab a quick bite with friends before we start bar hopping elsewhere.nnThe vegetarian chili was mediocre. It was served to me a bit dry, the beans looked like they went through the microwave. I barely finished half of the bowl and couldn’t eat it without hot sauce because it lacked flavour. The nacho portions were ginormous and can feed 4-5 people. Don’t order it unless you’re starving.nnWashrooms in the basement were clean BUT the doors were confusing to read, so much so that I accidentally walked into the mens washroom and didn’t find out until I did my business and noticed a bunch of urinals behind me oops.nnService was a bit slow but our waitress was friendly. I would come back again but just for the drinks, not the food.
Our first time at Sneaky Dee’s. I have always passed by but never gone inside. We had tickets to the comedy show in the event space upstairs and decide to grab a meal. We tried the tacos in a few flavours they were kinda mid, a 3/5. We also tried one pulled pork enchilada with one of the combination plates and it was the best thing we had 5/5!! We only got one to try but wish that was all that we ordered. The other meat was a bit dry but the pulled pork was very moist and flavoured. The rice and salad with the meal was also mid. The DFA nachos were good and the habanero had a great spicy to it. If you aren’t a fan on spice I’d get the pepper on the side or skip it all together.
Best TexMex restaurant in Toronto with the best taste in music for hard rock/ metal fans, but everyone else is also welcome.nDelicious and fresh food! Highly recommended. The venue upstate is even better. Such a great place to hang.
We got there on NYE at 2a.m. It was not our first time there, so we expected the loud and bustling crowd. The servers were friendly, and the food was prepared fast. Though not the most delicious, the taste of cumin in everything was so strong, and not everyone liked it. Overall, dining at Sneaky Dee’s is a safe choice, and they have great offers that make the prices affordable.
One of the most known dive bars in Toronto with classic tex mex offerings. Still some of the best nachos out there even though the bottom pieces get quite soggy from the generous amounts of toppings. Much pricier these days $34 but still worth it for the amount you get. Servers were attentive on a busy Saturday night.
