Story

Ferndale’s neighborhood watering hole since 1988. Offering a place to lube the workaday grind with good beer and better company. The only bar in town where you can get a corndog, watch the game, slurp up a jello shot and become a karaoke legend all in one night. With a cosy summer patio, low lights at the bar and a lengthy list of beers, this is the place to relax with friends, make some new ones and — above all — enjoy a good, stiff drink.

Great little bar, right on Woodward. Really good food at a decent price, especially the chilli cheese waffle fries. But really made the palace shine was the bartender, Becca. Great smile, very friendly and fun to talk with. And all the regulars love her, so you know that place is good. I will definitely be back.
Really cool dive bar! 4% discount if you use cash, beer and pub grub some of the cheapest in town, plenty of screens to watch games, bartender was very nice and efficient, can't wait to go back!
Not a huge fan of bars, let alone dive bars. So take this how you want. I'll start by saying this is one of the less uppity spots in Ferndale. Great prices on liquor. Decent food. They have an ami music jukebox so you can set your own vibe. But that's really it. It's....a dive bar. Mostly dark and chill environment with room for multiple groups to kick it

Overcrowded and many over-served. Very popular with the stereotypical Ferndale crowd. The vibes here are fiercely neutral
Prices and serving sizes for food are great. Owners care about their customers. Happy hour starts at 11:00am till 7:00pm Mon-Fri.
Super strong rum and cokes. The place was understaffed had to go get your drinks from the bar and wait. Bathrooms are a little disorganized especially women's from what I heard. Beautiful view off Woodward and 9 from a few tables of outdoor seating. Four stars due to the bathroom issues and understaffing, but still highly recommended.
The new bartender is terrible. He was working alone which is half of the problem, his personality is the other half. I waited 10 minutes for him to even acknowledge me. But whatever he’s busy. When he finally comes over he’s quite rude. I bought a $5 beer and tipped him $1 which is 20%. When I came back for a second he was like “didn’t you not tip?” How much extra do you think you’re entitled to for eventually getting around to handing me a bottle? Do yourself a favor and go down the street to New Way. They’re actually friendly.
New bartender Megan is great. I love the burgers and fries here. The bar seating is HORRIBLE. You have to lean in very uncomfortably to eat or drink. Who thought that was a good idea? Forget BYOB you gotta BYOC. Bring your own chair!
Sneakers is a go-to hole in the wall establishment in downtown Ferndale. Not the best place to watch a game and don't expect great food options if you luck out and the kitchen is even open. But if you're looking to grab simple drinks in a comfortable, dark setting then you're in the right place. 3.99% charge for all credit card purchases so bring cash/debit to save a few bucks.
