My friends and I went last night and had a lot of fun. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the staff were all really nice. Joan, one of the game experts showed us how to play Wingspan and explained it so patiently and clearly! It's definitely a relatively complicated game and we were so appreciative of that tutorial so that we didn't have to decipher the written instructions. We had just come from dinner so didn't get to try any of their food, but I'm sure we'll be back!
This gaming cafe is a fun spot to hang out with friends! The food was delicious and their game collection is impressive. It can get pretty packed, so reservations are a good idea — we waited about 20 minutes for a table.
Great service, fantastic atmosphere. Come with a group of family/friends. An immense selection of games. We will definitely return.
This is the first boardgame café that I have visited, but it was an amazing experience. It was full of people having fun with their friends or families. Our servers were very attentive, kind, and funny, which made the experience feel quite personable. There were also staff members who were ready to help you search for games specific to your desires, or to explain a board game if you had questions. It was also very inclusive and diverse, clean and tidy, and welcoming. I hope to return soon!
I remember going to a different board game cafe before and just saying, there's a reason why I haven't been to another one for a few years. I enjoy playing board games, but a big wall of board games can feel overwhelming. I don't know where to look and how to start. And I'll be honest, I just want to start playing so reading instructions can be daunting. Also, trying to figure out if something is good for 2 people to play can be hard.nnHowever, Snakes and Lattes managed to create a fun and welcoming environment. Well, specifically, Joan. She approached us when we were looking for a board game and I cannot thank her enough. She made our evening so special! She told us to have a seat and she brought over 3 games to choose from. She gives a brief description of each game and her picks were spot on. I don't feel overwhelm and there is no frustration at all. Joan got us started quickly and we were able to play on our own. She is a great teacher and very knowledgeable.nnWe weren't planning to play for a long time, but we ended up sticking around. It was a nice environment and everyone was very kind. We played Concept and it was fun and funny. It was interesting to understand how the mind works. Joan came around again and joined us for a turn since we were struggling. It was cool to see how she would play. She truly made our board game night something to remember. We definitely plan to come back to this location again maybe try the food next time, it looked good. Joan, thank you so much!
