Story

Located in the historic 1915 State Bank of Shelton building, owners Tom and Mo Beben are proud to share traditional Carolina style smoked BBQ and cherished family recipes from their Southern upbringing. From Sweet Tea to Macaroni & Cheese, we've got Southern Comfort covered!

Stop in to see what's new on our rotating taps, featuring the best craft beer we can find. We offer full bar service complete with our own Signature Cocktails. We also proudly feature our Shucked Up Oyster Bar upstairs, showcasing fresh shucked local oysters. Hang out for Happy Hour Specials Tuesday-Saturday 3-6pm. Our newest addition is our dog friendly outdoor patio seating which offers full menu and full bar service.

We offer Catering and Special Event Services too.

Our reservation policy:
We will accept reservations for parties of 8 or more Tuesday – Thursday and Friday and Saturday until 4pm.
Due to the unique design of our building, we try to seat guests as soon as possible as they come in. Holding tables for reservations increases the wait time at our door during peak times. So for that we are unable to accept reservations Friday and Saturday evenings. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
Please be aware, if not all members of your party are seated 15 minutes after the time of your reservation, we will release the reserved table to guests waiting at the door.

Food is very good. They took their best item off the menu. The smoked Prime rib dip. Replaced with something called The Logger. A sandwich with smoked Prime Rib. It would be pretty good if I hadn't eaten their smoked Prime rib dip. It's always a little slow getting food. They have a pretty small kitchen. I'll go back, but not the destination it once was for me

The more times we visit this place the more we love it. The have redone the menu a little, but my favorites are still on the happy hour menu. The 1/2 lb of shrimp are an excellent value and taste oh so good! And the Mr loves the sliders. Great drinks and great atmosphere. Service is excellent! Pretty cool vibe as it is in an old bank building. I don't know if it wasn't there before or if it was new this visit but the stained glass over the upstairs bar area is really cool!

We went for a group event and the food was fine. I split a rack of ribs with my dad. They told us all the sause (3 types) that they brought were gluten free but my dad ended up reacting to it after. The ribs were good but not amazing. The fries that came with were a large serving while my dad got a very small bowl of coleslaw. Overall a fine meal but I don't know if we will go back. For the full rack with 2 sides came to about $30.

Smoking Mo's is the best barbecue in Western Washington! Hands down, the best authentic bbq around and awesome sides. Service is also magnificent. Yes, when they are busy it can take a bit for your for your order but that's what it takes to get awesome BBQ! We love Smoking Mos!!! Barabe 4

Great bbq, beer and people. They just celebrated 10 years in business and that is am accomplishment. Will definitely go back.
