If I could give this place a 6 star review I would, I was really impressed with friendly staff and the great service, food was great!Recommended dishesSalt & Pepper Wings, Meat Lover Skillets
The staff were really nice and accommodating, but the atmosphere just isn’t what it used to be. The portions got smaller but the prices grew bigger. $50 breakfast for two people is quite rich, considering we each only had one main course and water. Their dinner items are far better imo. In addition, the waitress attended to our table and tried to take my plate while I was still eating and thought I was done. Please advise your staff that these actions are what drives a consumer away. Regards
Went for a family lunch to this Smitty's a few weeks ago. The service was friendly, but the food was terrible. I ordered the hot turkey dinner and was a bit surprised the server actually brought it to me with the way it looked. The dark meat was so "nuked" or over-done that I could not put my fork through it. It was visibly over cooked. The skimpy portion of white meat was more tender, but the stuffing was like pressed sponge. The mixed veggies of carrots & cauliflower ? were hard and NOT cooked through. The mashed potatoes were the only things that were ok. When the server came to pick up our dishes at the end of the meal - with my meal being hardly touched, she did not bother to ask me if there was anything wrong with my food - only if I wanted to have it packaged to take home. "No" was my firm reply - but still no concern on her part. This one meal item cost almost $20 with taxes - WAY too much for the terrible food. Best to try one of Steinbach's many other dining establishments.
It was just ok.. the seats in the booth were uncomfortable, and the food was not that good. And there was missing parts to our meal.. like my kids burger was missing the bacon, and it was dripping in grease.. and my husband's breakfast was missing the toast. The price was insane. The only good part about it was the friendly waitress. She did good. But will not be returning.
The Buttermilk Sage Fried Chicken Sandwich was absolutely deliciously great. She-Rah and the girls in the lounge were excellent. Will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
My server, Madi, had excellent customer service. She continuously showed friendliness and kindness from the moment I walked in the door till the moment I left. She truly understands what genuine customer service is.
Waited 45 minutes for a poutine….while my fiancé and the other couple we had gone out with had already finished there meal… may I add that they had to ask twice for butter for the pancakes they had ordered which were cold by the time the butter, frozen butter arrived. Waitress never came and asked how the food was tasting or if we needed another drink an such. Yeah so by the time i actually got the poutine everyone else I was with already finished their meals and were ready for the bill since we had already been there for over an hour. So long story short I took my order to go and received 50%off for the poutine. Worst experience EVER for a local restaurant
Love the food. Amy is usually always the server I get and ask for, she’s always professional, quick and never forgets anything that we ask. She makes the experience great!
We REALLY enjoy coming to the Steinbach location. Spencer and Charlene are our absolute favourite people there. They are prompt, very friendly and will even partake in shared laughs… and good natured teasing. Oh… and the food is consistently of excellent quality. We ABSOLUTELY recommend this Smitty’s !
Amy is an amazing waitress. My wife and I decided to try this restaurant on our visit to Canada from the states. Great food. If we ever find ourselves in Steinbach again we will definitely stop by and get more of those wings.
