Had lunch at Smitty's yesterday, and I was extremely disappointed. The burger patties have been changed, and now, instead of being a burger that looks and tastes like a beef burger, they are grey and rubbery and completely artificial tasting. The only redeeming feature is that it's charbroiled. The fries have also changed. I used to love the crispy shoestring fries, and now they're the kind of generic, tasteless fries one can get anywhere. I've lived in Wetaskiwin for 22 years, and have been eating at Smitty's for all of that time. Sadly, I'm not sure I'll be back. The service is always good. Too bad the food isn't any longer.
I placed an order of Feastify and it was over an hour so I called the restaurant directly to see if something was off, and the woman who answered the phone was extremely aggressive and got upset about the Feastify app and I explained again that I am the customer calling not Feastify and she just kept talking over me so I explained it again and she was just like "ohh" no apology or anything. Very professional.
Super friendly waitressing and some delicious food at a reasonable price. I'd stop by again for sure!
The head waitress was more than accommodating but the table waitress was very distracted.The food served is not as advertised on pictures. The shredded potatoes were very small fries, the cubed potatoes were very small and not as advertised, the fresh fruit was canned fruit. I have pictures but no place to attach them.

Food was to be expected from the franchise. When we got our meal, was asked if there was anything else and wanted. Replied we would like hot sauce for the eggs. The server came back with maybe a tablespoon in a tiny disposable cup of hot sauce,which was more than enough. But got a surprise when we got our receipt charged .50 cent for a condiment , seriously?! The service was great too. Both men and women bathroom were clean.
Very good food, good service and very clean. Can be very hard to get a table on sundays as this seems to be its busiest day
Rita and her staff are ways friendly and on the ball, even when the chips are down. The staff are accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu, they do a good job of cleaning, and I've never had to wait too long for service, whether it be food or topping up my coffee
Food was good except the hair that was in our daughter meal the server was very polite just the hair made it no so pleasant
Worse experience ever. Waitress was advised that there was a fly in the Caesar salad. She apologized and went to talk to the manager. When she came back she said she was able to cut the cost of one meal. When we went to pay the manager said she would cut 10 dollars off the 71 dollar bill. I told her what the waitress told me and she said she made all the decisions. Then she said she would cut 99cents for each salad. I told her she should review her kitchen practices and expect a call from the health inspector. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL
