The service was excellent. The place is clean, spacious, warm, and cozy. The food is average. Very standard Smitty's food. They have a nice array of condiments like jams and sauces you can help yourself to. The Smitty's syrup was corn syrup based with potassium sorbate as a preservative so if Smitty's offered a syrup with more real ingredients it would be better. The cranberry juice here is also very cheap tasting.... Like very sweet syrup based juice comparable to a fountain beverage.
My wife and I are staying at the Fernie fox next door so we liked the closeness off Smittys. The service was top notch, food came out in a short time was hot and delicious. My wife had the hotcakes and sausage, I had bacon, soft poached eggs it was all cooked perfectly and served hot. Our coffee cups never went empty. My experience here was 5 star all around, highly recommend and would return
I’ve had my fair share of meals at smitty’s restaurants and this was by far the worst food I’ve ever eaten. For a restaurant that should know how to make a breakfast meal considering it runs breakfast all day, the eggs were not cooked to order on any dish in our party. We even asked that they cook an egg longer as it came out very runny which our youngest daughter wouldn’t eat, just to have them serve another egg over easy and extremely soft. I ordered soft poached eggs, they came out over and our plates for the entire party had cold food. We didn’t complain, just shared that the food wasn’t to our liking to have the waitress dismiss our table entirely for the remainder of the time we were there. Will not go back to this location in the future and would recommend breakfast at any other place but here in Fernie.

Fast quick and friendly service, I have never been disappointed in this location. Always a good place to start a day out on the mountain. See you next time Schmittiiiiieeessss
Went there for a late lunch and the place was pretty empty but the service was still subpar. Our waitress seemed occupied with whatever was happening in the back rather than the people up front that needed to order or needed more water/pop. The food was decent but that’s about it.
Over price for waffles... I though I should buy a waffle maker and make them by myself at home. Kids waffles are also overpriced. Because just waffles. Lol The other food for my husband looks ok. He enjoyed it.

Exactly what was needed on a hungover Saturday morning. Food was amazing, menu had quite the selection and food arrived quickly! The place filled up quickly and the restaurant was understaffed leading to a long wait to get more water let alone the bill and paying leading to a much longer breakfast than planned.Food: 5/5
We had a great time. I went out with my employees part of our Christmas party for breakfast. We had a really good server Mauneeb. Good table touch and food was very good too. Very impressed with the service by Mauneeb
