This was our first time at the restaurant, and a great surprise to find it in Gimli neighbourhood! We had a comforting feeling when we walked in and it continued throughout our delicious meal and visit. Ordered a few dishes and they were exactly what we wanted. We had a lovely conversation with the fellow who served us. Thank you for the fantastic meal. You exceeded our expectations! We look forward to our next opportunity to sample another dishes from the menu of many choices. By the way, the mango salad was amazing! We ordered three more of it for takeout and bring back to Winnipeg!
Store looks a little sketchy but food is good. I would recommend ordering from the lunch combo of you are unsure of what to order and want to try a little of everything. They did their best with ingredients they can buy from Winnipeg. I'm used to authentic green curry but the green curry here was made with a little food colouring to cater to the local population. The location is nice. The serving staff were not really paying attention and ignored us while we were waiting to place an order. The salad rolls came with a sauce when asked was supposed to be peanuts but had didn't taste like peanuts sauce I love Thai food but I found some of the food lacking in taste.
The Smile Thai Restaurant This restaurant has street parking on the street in front. There was spaces available even on a Sunday at 5pm in the high summer season. This restaurant has both an indoor section and an outdoor section. Both sections have advantages. Indoors has air conditioning and fewer flies/bugs. Outdoors has a bit more atmosphere. You enter the restaurant from the side of the building, even to eat indoors. The air conditioning was working well on the 35°C day. Our table had a bit of wobble. The food was brought out quite fast and the staff was friendly. The food was fresh and portions were okay. We tried the Tom Kah, the red curry soup and the Pad Thai.
Great place, nice atmosphere. Had a chance to dine in the patio, it was an amazing experience. Food was good and so was the staff Tony. Asked the staff to prepare food according to our dietary restrictions and they were totally cooperative.
The curries were all very flavorful and the spice range was terrific, from very mild to nice and spicy! The fried pickerel is a great meat option, very light. Really tasty overall, thanks for having us!
We have a place outside of Gimli during the summer, and come here practically every weekend with our children. Great vegetarian and vegan options. Fantastic food and very friendly staff. Extremely friendly and the food was amazing! We tried the beef thai noodle soup, crab and cream cheese wontons and the combo platter with cashew pork, ginger beef and yellow curry. Everything was delicious.
A nice Thai restaurant in Gimli with a nice menu selection of Thai food. Reasonably priced, fast service and unique Thai drink options. We had a salad role with shrimp, green Currie with tofu and yellow currie with beef. You can order mild, medium or hot.
Order the chicken thai soup order number s2, Its simply amazing. Also staff are very friendly. A must try restaurant.
