We really enjoyed the experience, with fresh and delicious food. Our waitress, Maja, was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We would additionally like to praise how the sushi rice is prepared, which is much more authentic than at other restaurants we have visited in Ann Arbor, with the correct amount of sushi vinegar. Update 06/05/2022: We particularly liked the chashu pork in the ramen and the duck fat fried chicken was succulent and juicy. The broth from the tan tan men was also very tasty.
This restaurant truly deserves its place in Ann Arbor, a town full of great ones. Service was quick given the volume of customers they had, and the food was delicious! The sushi was very fresh, well made, and seasoned to complement the fish. My bowl of Ramen was so good, I completely forgot to take a picture, so you'll just have to believe me when I say that the ingredients were well portioned, the broth rich, and the pork chasu was very tender! Would definitely come back here
Foods were bit overpriced but overall they taste good. Tonkotsu was quite nicely done, authentic, and delicious. The chicken was really good, and the gyoza was acceptable. Considering that it's located in Ann Arbor, a rather small college town, this place is exceptional at least in the surrounding area. However, I did not feel very comfortable with how employees of this local business treat costumers. Although there were many seats available I was not seated for a while. Of course they must have had their own reason but you can let customers have their seats first particularly when they waited for 20 minutes.
One of the most amazing Ramen place I’ve been to in my entire life. Definitely worth a try. Their spice levels are perfect and portions too. Definitely try the Bao as well. I felt the Bao was a bit overpriced but is delicious. We had a long wait for a table and also the host messed up in noting down that we were a party of 4. But the food covered it up for us.
We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were very happy with the service and the ambience of the place. The food wasn't bad but i want to say not exceptional. The shrimp ramen lacked some flavors.. Overall it was just ok but definitely a very nice and lively olace to hang out with friends and family.
Nathan was an amazing server. He steered us the right way with the duck chicken - best chicken we’ve had. The Sunday Morning sushi is awesome and so are the noodles. The manager was great as well. Will return when in town again.
First time dining and we were not disappointed. We have been going to Ann Arbor for quite some time now and have seen Slurping Turtle and decided to give it a try. We both tried the DFFC Spicy Ramen. It was delicious. We got it on the side so it would remain crispy as well as the Chilli sauce and flakes. The environment was inviting, the staff was great and we will be back to host a small gathering in their separate section.
This is a really nice ramen shop. The atmosphere was great and the ramen was delicious. The fried chicken in duck fat was also super good. Everything was Farley priced being a college town. I would recommend giving this place a try
Had dinner here on a Friday evening. We normally have ramen at one of our favorite places across the street from here but decided we’d give this place a try. I had the Tonkotsu ramen and it was really good. The portion size of the ramen is large. My wife had the spicy miso ramen and said it was also very good. We split an octopus appetizer which was nice. We arrived at this place around 7pm and there was a 45 minute wait, so we went around the corner and had a few drinks and they called us when our table was ready. The staff was friendly and helpful and I recommend this place for ramen. I’m glad we decided to try it.
* good duck oil fried chicken and takoyaki * VERY VERY VERY SALTY RAMEN omg * certain waiter was rushing us and being rude and careless: he purposefully asked my bills while I am chewing my food and stared at me. He was very upset and tried to give us a harsh tone when we didn’t sit in the first seat he assigned. The water wasn’t added, neither.
