Best fishing in my lifenBeautiful lake, competent pilots and much better than rustic accommodations that I expected. Owner of outfit is great. The couple that helps out while on the Island was fantastic the 2 years that I went, but I where the are no longer. I am going back for another week in June and I am expecting the same or better.
Ryan and staff were amazing went above and beyond to make sure every worry of the trip had already been thought out. Just show up, fish and relax. Fishing was Tremendous! My 82 year old grandfather was apart of our group and accessibility and comfort was never an issue for him! Will be back!
We flew out of Slate Falls Outpost to go to Ragged Wood. They were so helpful and efficient. The flight was better than expected. I had never flown on a float plane, and it was smoother than expected. The staff were friendly, and also Cargo was a great help and distraction while we were waiting on the plane to pick us up. Thanks for all your help!
Slate Falls Outposts run a first class operation. Ryan goes the extra mile to ensure you have a great trip. I have been fishing in Canada for over 35 years and this is as good as it gets.
Slate Falls offers float plane rides during the annual Blueberry Festival for reasonable prices. They just started a baloon drop for the kids with prizes in the balloons at the MNR Beach in 2018. There are sightseeing tour flights that end with dinner at Anderson's Lodge during tourist season. So many things to do in Sioux Lookout.
