Just had The Country Platter 1/2 pound of beef bacon, cheese, tomatoes, coleslaw, fries, & O-Rings $13.00. Wow what a great meat, bin here a lot good for family's and trucker
Great food & great service. We will be back.
When open food looked pretty good but please don't disrespect the Canadian flag like below. It use to be a place you can grab a meal or fresh baked bread & goods before hitting the cottage, maintenance is lacking
Once I reminded the waitress that I was waiting for her to take my order my food showed up pretty quick. I ordered the truckers special which came with 3 eggs 2 bacon 2 sausage and a good size piece of ham. Although definitely not worth $22.50 I paid and left. I probably won't go back because all the prices were ridiculously high. I'll give it one star but they probably don't deserve it.
This restaurant was recommended to me for their breakfast, but I wouldn't pass on the recommendation. It's expensive and the food is mediocre. The home fries are frozen potato puffs and my eggs were way over cooked scrambled, hard and brown on one side. Service was good, and I liked the quaint vibe but I will never go back. $11 for 3 over cooked eggs, frozen potatoes and white bread from a bag is way, way too much.
My rating is based mostly on price. The service was friendly and attentive and the food came fast and hot. I have dietary restrictions and can't eat gluten. I paid $15 for an omelette with 3 slices of tomato. I would have to be in a real pinch to go back.
Convenient place to stop and refuel both your car and your stomach. Polite, friendly and helpful staff. Decent sized portions but a bit pricey for the quality. Happy for the all day breakfast option!
We stopped into this place, because it was close to our accommodations. Little did we know we should have driven farther to find a place to eat. When we arrived, the server was very grumpy and seemed impatient with us ordering. I could understand, somewhat, if it was busy, but there were only 4 other people. The server never checked up on us, and the food wasn't that great either. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki and it was essentially the skewers you can buy in the grocery store. At the end of the meal, we were given the bill without ever being asked if we wanted tea, coffee or desert. Overall, very unkind service which darkens the atmosphere. We noticed that the server had a similar attitude with other customers as well. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Absolutely terrible service. The woman who seated us gave us coffee and then didn't come back to us, choosing to serve the other people who came in after us. Even when we flagged her down, she saw us and ignored us? I have no idea what she was thinking. I've worked in the food industry before and there was absolutely no reason to be this obnoxious. Also: $10.45 for a bowl of oatmeal, and $3.95 for toast?... Give me a break. That's ridiculous.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE service! There’s a server who’s an old lady and skinny, working in the restaurant. Her service was awful. I agree the one who comment before me, 1 star only. When I called that server and said “excuse me”, she just yelled back “what?” with a poker face, and that was really rude. Can’t imagine how a server could treat the customers like this. The food was good.
