The flavors are real and authentic. Owner is very friendly and kind. I ordered Chicken korma that came with a generous serving of rice and delicious, flavorful chicken. Couldn’t control myself to get the lunch again next day and this time it was butter chicken which was again made perfectly delicious and served with smile. Definitely a gem in St Paul skyway for indian/pakistani food lovers !! My favorite spot for lunch!!
A friend had said this is an Authentic HALAL place. I dont believe it is.... I contacted the owner, Nihari is NEVER SERVED AS A MENU ITEM. Nihari should be a STAPLE DISH they say they do it for catering, but they could also make burgers and fries for catering too, or hot dogs, or peas and potatoes...so it means nothing This is just a Basic typical nothing-special place to get easy-made pre-made spiced curries...that you can make yourself at home from pre-packaged shan or Ahmed packages. I had hopes, this place was legit.... Nihari doesnt take long at all. Owners of this place, are in the business to make fast money and not serve high quality food. Or accomodate muslim customers... I ordered a basic-meal here a few months ago and talked to the person serving about their lack of a heart-felt menu...they didn't care...they probably forgot the conversation... Atleast have Nihari as a menu option during Ramadan....but nope! The food was bland Response from the owner will probably be a defense that I've never been here and only ever made a call....owners here just care about a quick buck...no heart in the food served. Came here 3 times in the last year hoping for a change in quality and menu items.. ordered food and tipped. Its clear this is just a BASIC INDIAN restuarant, among hundreds in Minnesota... The food industry is suffering i work in it, but its sad when a place just serves cheap menu items to make easy money.... Super sad. Wont be returning. Zero heart in the food made here.
Go here. Period, don’t even read more reviews go find out for yourself. Generous helpings, great service, and fresh they cook daily, only and give their food away at the end of the day. Then they start all over again the next day. Talk to T the owner, in 2 mins you see how passionate he is about his food and keeping it high quality and authentic. For the amount of food, this is a seriously good deal, you could split an entree if you wanted to, otherwise it can certainly be dinner!
My coworkers and I love Skyway Masala! We regularly go there for lunch and love their food. Last week I used them to cater a work lunch for 15 people and they did an incredible job. The food was excellent, ready on-time, and reasonably priced.
Great food and very friendly boss! The store was closing so he let me take a little sample of everything — all great and unique flavors! My 2 year old son also really loved the yellow potato dish not spicy
We loved our whole experience at this restaurant! Great food and employees and truly the best spot for some good Indian food in the area. Make sure to come hungry, you won’t be able to stop eating!
So far the best place for Indian cuisine. I tried daal, alur dom and chicken curry.
Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Got the butter chicken and the meat was tender and the rice was seasoned perfectly. Definitely recommend! Plus the owner is the sweetest
I can get superb authentic Indian food right in the heart of downtown st paul MN. These folks know what they're doing and you are doing a disservice to yourself not to try this out if you're in St Paul. Also: MN folks don't be scared of the spice. SO GOOD. Also, solid naan! Come eat here plz I want them to stay forever.
This was the best Indian/Pakistani food I have experienced. I and my friend ordered biriyani, masala chicken, kebabs and chai. All was very fresh. The best part was the owner was very nice and really took good care us. I highly recommend them.
