Skyscapes did a fantastic job in our balcony. It was a pleasure working with Dave and Blair. Our patio is truly transformed and now we actually use this extended area of our condo. Sunsets are more special when your feet are on this beautiful IPE Wood Deck Manjot and his installation team did a precise meticulous job. They were very professional and made sure the deck was spotless every evening before they left. Thank you guys for making our patio a beautiful area we now enjoy.
For anyone thinking of using this company to spruce up your concrete balcony - our deck looked great for ONE DAY. The day following install which took one month due to many issues-see Homestars review the boards started warping. This is what our deck looks like after one year. It's an eyesore. The boards are warped and cracked. Blair returned four times to replace tiles which meant time off work for both of us and the replacements still warped and cracked. I cannot go out in bare feet. No amount of soybean oil maintenance will fix this. The lighting has been a disaster. I specifically asked about vulnerability to the elements and was told by Dave that everything was sealed - we have now replaced the timer five times and the transformer which was not cheap. I wish more clients would hold off reviewing until one year later to give people a realistic expectation. Addressing the owner's reply - not paying the balance was the only bright spot of this experience. I should have sued you for this eyesore AND yes you did see the defective product - FOUR times when Blair visited to replace warped tiles.
Above and Beyond Service & Excellent Product!!! I am so happy with our decision to work with Skyscapes for our composite flooring product and installation. Dave and Mike were very professional and friendly, and it was fantastic working with their team. Dave was really helpful during the design stage and thoroughly answered all of our questions, while Mike had an amazing work ethic and eye for detail during the installation. We had a few design challenges that needed to be overcome and Skyscapes went above and beyond to provide solutions to them all. Our condo balcony is over 900 sqft, so we were happy that they could provide flooring that came in a large tile format 8ft x 2ft, along with special tiles that could be removed to provide access to anchors underneath used by the window washers a few times a year. Skyscapes was one of the only companies that could provide this product format and this level of customization. Being in a condo, we had to undergo a lengthy approval process for this project. Dave and Mike bent over backwards to meet with our condo management and engineering company on multiple occasions, and to answer any of their questions in order to obtain this approval. Our terrace looks gorgeous and we are quite pleased with the end result. In addition to the flooring, we had lights embedded in the floor tiles around the perimeter of the terrace and they also refinished our hot tub. These floors and lights were installed in September 2017, and they still look amazing after a long winter. Skyscapes also continues to be quick to respond to any of our needs regarding their product or the installation. We highly recommend their work.
Great experience with these guys! Used them for a work project as well as for my own home. The installer was very professional, arrived on time and finished the job in one day. The inside floors leading out to the balcony was covered and protected so as nothing gets soiled or damaged during the job. The quality of the composite deck tiles are much better than anything you'll find at a box store Home Depot, Rona or Lowes and the installer did such a great job in cutting the edges of the balcony, very clean lines. We also opted for the led lighting, comes with a timer. Looks great - highly recommend them!Service: Install flooring
