The Maple Bar is a unique pastry. It's not a raised or a cake donut, as every other maple bar I've ever had. This is a unique pastry!! The dough has a texture of a cinnamon roll, and it's folded, with air in between so the pastry is not so dense. The maple frosting felt whipped and fluffy. It tasted like it had a little extra somethin' somethin' in addition to maple flavor! 5 Star I got a ham and cheese biscuit to have for an easy to eat, on the road breakfast the next morning. I broke off a piece right away to taste it while it was fresh. Even at room temp it was a hand full of comfort food. By the next morning it was still crispy on the outside and flaky inside. It's savory and chock full of fillings. Another 5 Star If I'm ever back in Monroe during their business hours, I'll buy these items again and try some seasonal things too.
We stopped by there during our bike ride for trying to dry off rain and getting some warm drink and food. Their shop is tiny, 3 or 4 tables and a bench outside by their window. Servers are very friendly, nice. Their savory and sweet goods are great. We are glad fouding this shop. We love to come back here again next time nicer weather.
This place has GREAT scones! They are also very kind to let me hang out for over 3 hours while my daughter was taking her SAT at the local high school,. They even sent me away with a cupcake for her! Wonderful small town friendliness. LOVE IT!
Everything we've had here is delicious. My oldest kiddo and I are huge fans of the pink cookies - highly recommend them. The lemon muffins are also a family favorite here. Savory foods are just as good, like the three cheese biscuit and bacon jam! Their offerings do vary daily, but you're sure to find something great any day of the week. For holidays they often have preordering available. I've attached some photos from their Valentine's preorders. In addition to amazing food, they care about their local community. Parking isn't usually too difficult. There are some angled spots on Main right in front of their storefront.
Absolutely loved this bakery, their pastries & most importantly their service. We’re just passing through & wanted a tasty treat for the drive back to Bellevue. Walking inside, you can totally smell it’s a fresh bakery - sweet, buttery goodness fills the air. There were about a dozen pastry options in the case, not including the savory biscuits & specialty options. I ended up ordering a butterhorn & Italian soda. Not much seating inside, but not a problem at all. There’s a cute bench out front where we basked in the sun and enjoyed a moment. Highly recommend stopping here when in the area!
Delicious savory and sweet treats! I had the brioche and my husband had the sausage roll and both were delicious. We then shared the cinnamon roll which was incredible! Great icing to bread bread ratio.
Needed a cake with less than a weeks notice for my sons 1st birthday. All I asked for was a space themed cake. I can't say enough good things about the service we received. The cake was beautiful and delicious. It was ready on time, and the staff was wonderful to deal with 10/10 would buy from them again
What a delightful place! The cheddar and ham biscuit was amazing. I’ve been in a few times now, and I’ve tried a cupcake delicious if you’re into fancy cupcakes with amazing frosting and a pecan sticky bun so many pecans and so sticky! The staff is also kind and helpful! I didn’t think to write a review, but today while I was there a local preschool walked in for a tour, and out popped a guy dressed as Santa. This is what a small town bakery should be! I heard a three year old say, “wow” with so much delight as he took in the pastries and the holiday decorations. I was a “it’s close by and yummy” kind of customer before, but now I’m a walking advertisement, and I’ll be ordering my daughters bday cupcakes here! Thank you for being a sweet and welcoming member of our community!
Holy man. Finally made it in after trying to make it in for the past 2 years. Wow am I glad I finally timed it right. This place hit all the marks for me My mocha was delicious. Those pink cookies will surely be a new addiction. I had the sausage breakfast biscuit and it did not disappoint. If you haven't made it in here yet RUN! The owner is quirky and funny, the staff is wonderful. Will be back many times in the future I'm sure.
Thank you so, so much Sky River Bakery! After a lovely and lively chat with co-owner Darren, the bakery offered to deliver their amazing pink cookies to my home for my daughter's 1st birthday party. The cookies were a hit with our guests and the party was a blast. Thanks for taking treat pickup off of this busy first-time mom's to-do list! We will definitely order our special occasion treats from Sky River Bakery again!
