The price is high but the food quality is amazing. We went there for a Korean BBQ. Of course, Korean cold noodles/spicy noodles are good. And the bbq food setting, food quality, and customer service is the number 1 in Langley and Vancouver. It's quite far from my area, but I would love to visit here again for a special day or when my parents are visiting from Korea, I want them to introduce this amazing Korean BBQ restaurant. They also have sushi too. We are so hungry that we ordered one special roll before having the BBQ too but I forgot to take a photo. But all was good. We didn't realize that there was dessert after the meal for the Ice cream. The options are mango and green tea. My favourite green tea ice cream here. So loved. Definitely will visit again.
This restaurant offer awesome Korean BBQ experience. High quality food, very fresh and delicious. They have a great wide selections of food. Lots of available parking. Stuffs are very responsive and friendly. Unlike most of other Korean bbq restaurants, this place is roomy and comfortable. Their ventilation system is so good that you don’t end up smelling like a piece of marinated meat afterwards. Highly recommended if you wish to enjoy a good Korean BBQ meal with your friends and family.
We had Prime rib eye, finger meat, cold noodle and korean pancakes. Quality of korean meat was the best. Side dishes are all delicious. Food, service and atmosphere all top notch. I can see that owner of this restaurant put so much effort on every detail. We will be definitely coming back for more. I forgot to take picture of bbq since we were all so hungry.
Came here with friends, staff where very friendly and polite. This is a new building so it is very nice and clean. We had take out a while back but wanted to come and eat in. The food was delicious. I would recommend coming here! The sushi also fantastic! We will definitely be back!
Since they’ve opened I’ve gone a few times. Had their Japanese/Korean lunch menu, tried their Korean BBQ dinner, ordered take out, and had a team lunch with coworkers here. All times I’ve been here, the food has been delicious and the staff very attentive. Yes it’s pricier compared to some other places, but portions are good and given the extra effort for food presentation and restaurant decor, well worth it. Great location and free parking when registering with the restaurant. Five stars!
Brand new, beautiful and clean restaurant. When you walk in you wouldn’t feel like you are in a sushi restaurant. We were seated and had to chose from a grilling table or a regular table. We chose the regular table. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 regular sushi, 1 special roll and 1 Korean noodle. We got our sushi and noodle within reasonable time but as we were working away into our dinner we realized our appetizers never arrived. We tried to make eye contact with our server but she was so busy doing other tasks. She was sitting other customers, taking orders, cleaning dishes and bringing out food. To our surprise the rest of the 3 other servers are doing the same thing. There was no allocation of which area and tables each looked after. When we finally spoke to one of the server about our missing items she stated to wait for our server to help us. We finally made eye contact with our server and inquired about our appetizers. She check in the kitchen talked with the man presumably the manager and another server. She came back to our table to say “sorry we missed your appetizers, we will just remove those from your bill.” We reluctantly agreed as we were already full. My wife recalled seeing another server delivering our appetizers at another table. Throughout the entire dinner service no one checked on how were are doing. Toward the end of our dinner , the manpresumably manager came to our table delivered 2 different sushi dishes while we thought “this must be their way of saying sorry.” He then caught his mistake and delivered those to the nearby table. Food was decent and sushi was okay. The Korean noodle was tasty. If you are in the area of Langley and wanting a good sushi place there are plenty more options. We didn’t get to try to grill meats, not sure if we are going to. We looked at our nearby tables having them and they don’t look overly happy either. My suggestion is for management to have a better system for their servers. Have designated seaters, servers etc. I suggest better customer service relationship as well. The interaction between the server and ourselves was poor. The server assumed we didn’t want the missing appetizers. We should’ve probably said something but we were not in the mood for that.
Saturday date night dinner, this is a relatively new restaurant, we have been wanting to try this place for a while. It certainly has an upscale vibe, which is always a plus for date nights. Service was good, food quality on some dishes were very good, and some were just average. We love the sushi, you can taste the freshness of the food, and it’s on the higher end ones, not your average grocery store quality My wife’s favourite is the motoyaki, lots of cheese and lots of flavour. Prawn tempura was just above average, little overcooked, and batter was a little bit on the thick side I like my seafood spicy tofu stew, it has lots of flavour, you can taste the difference, comparing to other Korea restaurants, I really like it The katsu pork chop was too dry, same as the tempura, overcooked, and not juicy. The sauces did save it a bit, but we won’t order that dish again. All in all it’s a good restaurant, we will try their Korean BBQ next. Hope they stick around
Great service and friendly staff. There is free parking in the lot you just have to scan the QR code at the door to register your car. I was impressed by the menu size and prices are reasonable. Would definitely come back to try bbq next time.
Went to Skobi for my dad's b-day dinner and it was truly impressive. Their meats melted away in your mouth, and everything was excellent from the start till the end. My parents kept complimenting different aspects of the restaurant such as the quality of the food, the restaurant's modern interior design, and the customer service. Thank you for the amazing experience! Every penny was worth it.
We had the family combo B on the menu. We were a party of four and it was more than enough:> the prawns that came in the set were huge and the quality of their grill meats were “premium”. The potato side dish is always my favorite and they have kid’s meal set that suits family groups too! Skobi is perfect for people to encounter high quality korean bbq! Worth the price>< Please please please try their cold noodle its really good
