Great place to stop on your way through Medicine Hat, especially if you're going for a cheap fill up from Costco, it's right along the way no matter which way you're coming from. My wife and I didn't have a huge appetite so we split some wings and the Burnt Ends sandwich with waffle cut fries and it was a perfect amount for a quick sit down while travelling through so I didn't get too sleepy behind the wheel. Very delicious and a good helping of burnt ends on the sandwich, they were spilling over the sides and that's what ya want, tasty little morsels those burnt ends were. I forgot to take the picture of the sandwich before I dug in so excuse the presentation look. Will definitely make a return visit to try some of the other dishes.
A must on the list of places to eat in Medicine Hat! Prepare to be greeted by the delectable smokehouse smell as soon as you're in the parking lot, this restaurant had us smiling from start to finish. Nachos and brisket and sausage, oh my! The Nacho's were perfectly baked and the salsa was so good! The "caramelized burnt ends" blew us away, and the "three and three" was delightful. The star of it all was definitely the brisket. Highly recommend!

Today was my first time in Skinny's. I checked some reviews before go including 1star comments and for me it was a really nice experience. Our server was super kind and friendly also recommended me one of her favorites sides because everything looks yummy for me and I absolutely loved it. To be honest with the people who doesn't tried yet.. please have your own experience here and decide if you want to come back or not. If you read the bad reviews as me I definitely come back.
Been here twice now. First time I ordered the burnt ends only about half of them were soft and chewy, the second time I ordered them they were spot on! Love the wings here as well although need to be a bit crispier, my fault though for not requesting that. All in all a great place if you like good old smoked BBQ!
It used to be I would give Skinny's a much higher rating. It was the first ever restaurant I ate at after moving to Medicine Hat. But as of lately everything is unreliable. I heard they had a change of management which might be responsible for the degradation. Not getting the right sides; employee arguing over the phone when we corrected her upon reviewing our takeout order; lack of consistency in the quality, taste and temperature of the food; jar of bbq sauce ordered with takeout order usually glass jar with branded sticker: what we got was a generic takeout plastic container 2/3 full; oh and 22% price increase and they don't even give pickles anymore. I don't think we'll be back anytime soon unfortunately.
Stopped in on our way through to Calgary and we were not disappointed. Delicious food, reasonably priced and the servers were very nice! Highly recommend! We will definitely be coming back!
Service was slow; our pulled pork was plain/barely warm. This used to be our go to place but now it's mediocre. Service wasn't good either as we had to repeat things several times... we'll have to check out what else the city has to offer
Brutal!! All 4 items we wanted they didn’t have available: smoked brisket, smoked turkey for the turkey sandwich, potato salad and deviled eggs. One of the main things to order here and reason we came was brisket and they had none available! My pulled pork and my sons chicken sandwich were ice cold when brought to us. Just brutal! Waste of money! Service was terrible too, they took forever to come and serve us.
I don't get to visit Skinny's often enough, but when I do come here I try something different and have never been disappointed. I enjoy the cornbread and if I can't decide on a side, the beans are my comfort food.Food: 4/5
