Had an amazing golfing experience here. I went with a few buddies for 9 holes a few weeks ago. The man in the clubhouse was super friendly and our carts were ready and waiting for us when we arrived. We had the last tee time which worked out well for us. The guy told us to play a few more holes as it was easier to get back to the clubhouse off one. The course itself is well maintained. My buddies say it’s the best course in the area. I haven’t played them all so I’m passing the message on. Lots of nature to see and Beautiful grounds. I will definitely be coming back for more golf.
Excellent golf course, friendly, multi- generational family-owned and operated resort, highly regarded golf course, design and management, waterfront cottages to rent, and a well managed park model trailer park. Also a good pro-shop, and very good, reasonably priced restaurant...what's not to like?...they get winter there!
They need a marshal on the course to keep everyone happy on the course. A marshal would speed up play but also calm aggressive golfers down. Not a fun round when you have golf balls hit at you even though you are waiting 20-30 minutes on every hole. Otherwise fantastic course. Will avoid golfing this course on the weekend.
I purchased a foursome for 6 Foot Bay in a silent auction held for a charity tournament. I am so glad I did! This course is extremely fun to play. Has some beautiful holes. Long views through the Pine forest. Has some fun and unique Par 3's. Has it's own version of the "Swilcan Bridge"! Also some unique Tee deck setups. Course was in great shape. Beverage Cart was by frequently with a little half-way house at #10. I would play here again and definitely recommend. We had an awesome day on a great Golf Course!
Course was in great shape as usual -shout out to the grounds guys. Melissa and her team very accommodating the entire stay. Cabins clean and ready early as usual. Looking forward to 2023!
This review is for golf only. What a stunning course. I definitely found my new favourite cottage course to play. Just the right level of beauty and challenging holes for a break away from the lake on a cloudy day. Well maintained and fun course. The clubhouse for lunch was great too! Food and service were both phenomenal. Will definitely be back.
This review is about the golf, and it definitely is one of the nicer courses in the Kawarthas, including some of Peterboroughs. Pretty well pristine tee boxes, fairways and greens, great hole designs and scenery. The back 9 is especially picturesque in the evening. One thing about the greens is that it seems as though people do not repair their ball marks, or do it well enough. I found myself fixing a lot of them, which surprises me given it states on the card to do so and is basic golf etiquette. Other than that, I think there needs to be an investment in good electric carts, and paths need to be paved and redone for it to be a top 3 course in the Kawarthas.
Stayed here 20 years ago and it was a nice place. Since then it has been greatly improved. The golf course is beautiful. The pro shop, restaurant and pool/deck side area are very nice. Most importantly, the folks running the resort are extremely accommodating, going out of their way to help you with anything you need. I would not hesitate to return.
THE best golf course in the area. Course is always in perfect condition, bar cart is frequent, and the dining room will ensure a well rounded day. GTA guests of mine were awed by the quality & value on the day.
16 cottages...all facing water. Great place for families..lots of activities for the kids. The golf course is also great
