Sivananda Ashram Yoga Camp

This is one of my favorite places in Canada, for so many reasons. The summer at the camp is lively and full of fun - pool and sauna, hiking, cycling, outings and of course outdoor yoga and satsang in the beautiful yoga hall. Winter at the ashram is more reflective and a little more serious, it's quieter but there is still the sauna to be enjoyed and beautiful snowshoe trails. The asana are beautifully taught, although beginners will need to modify to their level. The food is good. I try to visit at least once a year and highly recommend! Bring a meditation cushion if you need one for long periods of sitting.

Peaceful environment. Best place for meditation and yoga in Quebec. Various activities for different age group. Love the Ashram.

I randomly stumbled upon this place in May 2017 and stayed for a weekend. I was surrounded by positive people, served nice vegetarian food, inspired by nature and took challenging (beginners) yoga classes. It was truly a wonderful weekend.

I stayed here for a winter about 20 years ago and it was a wonderful experience. A highlight of my life. Thank you to a wonderful woman who used to be Gayatri who let me stay and get healthy and become human again. OmNamashivaya!
