My first time at Sitar with my husband on a Saturday lunch buffet. Tried other places but this place was different, atmosphere, the servers. Food was amazing. A lot of variety plus a nice salad bar. Naan, dessert pudding, delicious. Will definitely be back!
BUYER BEWARE! *NEVER* GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! As others have mentioned, you get charged more than the prices on the menu. It is the restaurant's responsibility to inform the patron of the price and normally that is done with the menu. If the menu prices are wrong, then the staff needs to tell the patron. The price factors into the patron's decision on what to eat and whether they eat it with you and violating that trust is a huge mistake. Basically they can make up whatever prices they want, but lying about the prices by providing outdated menus and then omitting the truth about the prices IS lying to the customer. Interestingly, after my wife and I were discussing the bill and the pricing, we heard the group the next table over who were equally shocked by the prices they were charged and upset that the restaurant didn't tell them about the prices. Frankly the price difference was appalling, we were charged nearly 50% more than the prices on the menu. My wife and I STRONGLY urge anyone considering visiting this restaurant to find an HONEST business that isn't trying to scam the customer. There are far better restaurants and even better Indian restaurants than this one, go anywhere else but this place.
Recently we were fortunate to celebrate our daughters birthday in sitar palace. food was great , most importantly, the staff was amazing. especially saji!! he was always everywhere making sure everyone was comfortable , had what they needed and were happy . He had such a passion for his job it translated to pure excellence in his job!! well done sitar palace for employing such a remarkable staff member.
This is my go-to for Indian. I love their buffet lunch, I get to experience dishes I have never tried, so this is great for anyone that wants to explore, venture and try things they have never tried. I love everything here, have never been disappointed by any dish. I especially love their goat, I think it's curry style. Delicious! Service is always amazing, been coming here for years and will continue to do so. Almost forgot, their naan is the best, best, best!
I was in the area with my mom after going to the farmers market nearby and I spotted this restaurant and at the time we went they were having the lunch buffet and I am so glad that I spotted this place.TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND COME HUNGRY. Service is slow but the food is sooo good! Dined in twice so far. The food was served hot both times. Delicious both times. Edit : man... I cannot rave about this place enough!! I order take out from here a lot now. And the food is always so damn good

This is one of my favorite restaurants ever! I love the food here. I'm vegan and I feel that there are many options for me, my partner and I usually get the Gobi Manchurian and Chana Masala with a side of 2 Pooris. SOOOO GOOD!! It is also very affordable and the portions are HUGE. I love the customer service here as well, they are very sweet! After the first couple of times they remembered my name and order :
We are in Rockaland since 2021. In my experience this is one of the best place to Dine in or Take out with friendly staff. Jerrin doing the wonderful work.
Excellent cuisine and fair price. Loved the lunch buffet. Vegetarian options: Paneer curry was awesome!
