Siskiyou County Library-Yreka

We always have a wonderful experience when we go to the Yreka Branch of the Siskiyou County Library. The volunteers are always friendly and helpful. My daughter looks forward to our weekly visits and she loves to use the self checkout station! Thank you to everyone who keeps this library open and running smoothly!

I have used this library numerous times over the last 13 years! When I needed specific materials for study in a number of different subjects I got what I needed. I will always support libraries for the educational factors. Please for all those that need encouraging use and support your public library. Thank You Siskiyou County Library!

The only drawback is that they are not open everyday

New to the area, I wandered in one day late last summer to find this community volunteer supported resource, shining like a gold nugget in the Yreka hills. Before long, I became so enamoured I joined the team of folks working to give the area access to all things literary. Michael Perry, County Librarian, along with Friends of the Yreka Library, headed by Marianne Hotek, aided by dedicated people like Ruth Little, and Cindy Brown, and so many others, do an amazing job delivering technology, varied media and a wide selection of titles. Advanced services like the self-check kiosks, computer lab, and Wi-Fi all add to the litany of services found here. It is a puzzlement to me, a library, un-funded by the government, for the benefit of all the county's citizens, however, I'll leave that eloquent waxing for another time, but let it be known, there's no better example of one door opening from another closing. This library is a real jewel in Siskiyou County's crown.
